Fantastic project, love it! You have an amazing selection of supported protocols on the "wire side".

I'm the co-author and project lead of SSH-Stamp:

https://github.com/brainstorm/ssh-stamp

Our focus has been on the "network side" by running a SSH server instead of a Web Server and multiplexing protocols via SSH sessions.

Our project is admittedly not as mature as the ESP32 Bit Pirate but OTOH we run with Rust Embedded and support other targets than Espressif (currently experimental on RPI Pico2 and Sipeed BL616).

We need testers :D

> And that is why you tried to hook people to watch your talk.

Hook people? Hey, it's not *THAT* good of a talk. I'm not even a security researcher myself, but thanks for the street cred ;)

I see your points, let's agree to disagree on some of them but overall, thanks for sharing your thoughts over here, good intellectual sparring.

Can't speak for Hypfer but I guess he doesn't mean the monetary side of "business" as most people understand it but the "attention" (of reading/checking the talk and link, etc..), so I don't fault him for that.

Full disclosure: I'm not getting paid nor seek money from what I found on my alleged "ad", btw.

I posted the exact model name & number and there's indeed quite a lot of hardware specs detailed on the talk itself (Allwinner A20 SoC, btw) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"There was no relation to Valetudo"... well, with your current behavior and tone as a community "admin", you're certainly making sure I'll not work on that direction in the near future (I do have it mentioned as future aim on my last slides).

Totally second that, I was banned today on their Telegram channel just because I mentioned that I recorded a r2con2025 presentation to free Samsung PowerBot VR7000M vacuum cleaners (no Samsung bot seems to be supported by them to date), titled "Restoring the Vacuum" in here:

https://radare.org/con/2025/#vacuum

I wish I didn't mention Valetudo positively on my presentation now. Hypfer has bizarre (to say the least) views about what community building means and entails.

This project made me wonder if a "physical virtual printer" exists?

I'd love to send print jobs to a "non-physical" printer that any OS (and/or Adobe DC Reader) sees as a "completely legit, real, physical printer".

In other words, not just the "Print to PDF" option/dialog on the OS. Then after "printing", have a valid PDF appear on that device's target storage itself (eMMC/SD Card/SMB share...)?

Majestic, the main streamer binary is not opensource and even connects to remote servers it Hetzner among other shenanigans, so it should be called OpenIPC/ClosedMagestic.
No support for (3-phase) power metering yet :/
Has somebody tried to Emscripten the super-melee side of it and allow peers to battle using a browser? That'd be awesome :)
Re:Alternative open firmware for your IP camera on Sunday October 08, 2023 @08:41PM (#37815727)
Majestic, the main streaming "core" component of the camera (which does RTSP, HLS, etc...) is closed source, the rest is open, except some third party SDK blobs.

Somebody should automate these docker on android instructions: https://gist.github.com/FreddieOliveira/efe850df7ff3951cb62d...

Would be fun to run a Kubernetes cluster out of old Androids :)

Re:Google Introduces Passkey Authentication on Thursday May 04, 2023 @06:46PM (#35823121)
Not supported on free Google "legacy" org accounts (pre-Google Workspace), greeted with "Passkeys aren’t allowed on this account." message :/

How does this tool differ from release-plz?: https://github.com/marcoIeni/release-plz
In the F.A.Q they mention that it can be modified for telescopes:

====

Can I use it on my telescope?

With a bit of modification, yes. We have seen many astrophotography projects with the official Pi cameras, you can follow the same instructions.

====

I wonder if it can be also modified for PCB inspection microscope purposes? I have a C-mount lens already:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002033939765.html

More context on the idea I've been thinking about on: https://twitter.com/braincode/status/1464964031576379400

So... can this new Arducam 16MP autofocus be easily modded so that it:

1) Conserves the autofocus feature.

2) Accepts a C-mount lens like the one listed above with the right distance from the sensor?

Fascinating, which kind of JTAG fixture did you use for this device and which debugger did you use? kdb?
Re:SuperH on Tuesday December 07, 2021 @01:36PM (#29476407)
Which kind of JTAG/debug probe did you use for the Dreamcast? Does it even have such a port exposed and enabled?
Re:SuperH on Tuesday December 07, 2021 @04:36AM (#29470604)
Which kind of debug probe did you use for it? I've been told that it's not regular OSS/OpenOCD/JTAG toolchain but something Hitachi-specific called H-UDI (proprietary JTAG extension)?
Re:SuperH on Tuesday December 07, 2021 @03:54AM (#29470357)
This post is so timely!

Debugging SH4 processors is tricky because they have a non-standard extension to JTAG standard: H-UDI.

Does anybody in this thread have details about the H-UDI proprietary SH4 JTAG extensions?

Re:AWS launches ARM-powered Lambdas on Wednesday September 29, 2021 @06:30PM (#28700822)
So good AWS listens to customers:

https://twitter.com/braincode/status/1382940634093219840

Now, the SAM-CLI local developer experience is broken in Rust, those would be my next asks for AWS:

https://github.com/umccr/s3-rust-noodles-bam/blob/s3-server/...

They are not too hard in principle, but w.r.t implementation, even Google fails in some respects today with DMARC and its own Google Calendar (invite notifications bouncing within the same GSuite):

https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/c5p7e8/dmarc_bloc...

I'm actually surprised that nobody tried to poke into those lines yet and built something similar to https://hackaday.com/2021/07/05/how-to-drive-smartphone-scre... but for the camera.

Actually, since that project above links to a iPhone 4 screen as an example, I'd perhaps err into probing for MIPI signals on an iPhone 6S camera first, perhaps using sth like https://hackaday.com/2018/11/29/mipi-csi-2-implementation-in...?

This post is fascinating, btw: https://www.circuitvalley.com/2020/01/spi-mipi-bridge-fpga-v...
