I dropped Dropbox for simple reason - russian mail.ru promoted 1 tb free for Cloud.mail.ru and I got it.

This is a font I just find on MyFonts.com Actually, Description for this font sayd "Bandera is Spanish for ‘flag’. And Bandera is a symbol of Ukrainian fighting for freedom for many years." Ukrainian flag and images show that this is only Ukrainian related. Wikipedia sayd, that Bandera kill Poland and Ukrainian sitizens. We apply to YC S14, and I think, it does not matter. That's why - if your product team will selected, you still get access to best community. Anyway, you get as much money from VC on Demo Day, as your product look. And you still YC alumnum. So, don't worry. Just work harder.

I'm not Ukranian, but I born on Ukraine and live there 16 years. We leave Ukraine at 1996. I'm watching on Ukraine because my school friends live there and I'm care for them.

Here's my opinion - there are tons video's how truck move in police. How footballs fanatics throw molotov to cops. Now they shoot from guns. This is not "only way" - this is just another one opposition politics game who want grab the power.

I think, the Facebook stocks down is not so tragic. Zuck well know what is real price of Facebook stocks and can take a bull strategy. And if it, this terrible falling is not so terrible for Zuck. It just my point of view, but it have some chance to be a real picture.

I'm agree with many hn's that mobile is a general way for today Facebook. But today main Zuck plan look like a only increasing ads on Facebook - I'm talking about new Promote button - http://www.socialbakers.com/blog/587-get-ready-4-new-faceboo... Let me be honest - I'm not undersand Zuck. He have long war with Google for search traffic but still not released a Facebook Search. He can build a many new sections with new features (with ad) but still not. Well, he can experience with new brand pages (bild a new guidline and start migrate website inside Facebook and host it) or choose a absolutley new way of monetization (they are obvious) but this all still do not. I think, Zuck must hire a new CEO and calm down, then stocks can grow up to $160-$220 and more.

PG, you're absolutely right - IP is a real problem, that so far no one has decided, but I think Moon have also another one side - limits to 25 will run to huge number of small startups that can not be grow more then 25 peoples and this is can stops investment from venture capitalists. I think, we dont need draw a line between huge and small startups. We just need another patent system - transparent and work well as we need. At first, we need to know, was gived a patent on our inventions or not - by few clicks. At second - we need to know, what kind of invention and claims for it was pended but still have not sugessted. At third, we need to see all climes of concurents patents - because we are allways can invent another one claims, and build on them ower new products, that we can protect. I think we can solve this problem - as technicians, we are much easier to prepare a bill and after appeal to members of Congress or the legislature with a request to meet our demands.

We need to change the whole system. Obtaining a patent should be a simple thing as buying a domain name or product in the online store. Now, placing an order, we practically give it to the blind - we do not know if already issued a patent for the same invention or is it the same invention is filed by someone. We do not know this and therefore has a great chance that in six months we will letter of refusal and then we just lose time. This is I'm think about. And, IP and Patents is a strongly related to my startup, I'm will apply to YC W12.

I'm apply last year (W11) but was rejected. Now I know why - not because I'm russian, just my idea was a totally shit. Thanks PG, that you reject me. I got many ideas since last year - Startups Franchise, Help Button to any smartphones and many other, I invent new XML-format RSS+ and tons of many ohers great things. Now I got an idea, that 85% of G+ techbloggers say 'this is realy cool' because this is really cool, not because I'm think so. This is a startup, that can grow fast and make good cashflow. September, 15 Steve Blank come to Moscow and I'm pitch him with it. If him also say 'cool' I'm apply. I have a great cofounder - IP lawyer from New Delhi. We can do it, PG.

I worked in the citadel of machinery to promote luxury brands - in GQ, my wife - in Vogue. And we have a very simple view on this matter - if you share the view that there are luxury brands, and there are the usual brands, then propaganda reached up to you. And this discussion is very sad, because here assembled smart people, well aware that the main thing - it's functional, not design, and luxury designed for people who do not understand it.

Yes, there are Russian. This is not a pure meme in his understanding. foundation here - that the word "жрать". There are three common words used in respect of the word is - жрать (Russian profanity) есть (general use) and кушать (cultural variant). As anything anywhere using the profanity (from cleaners to politicians) the meme is not here, this expression for sushi can be heard quite often. I don't know if there are any country in the world, in which the mprofanity is so often used in everyday life.

In 2006 I met with many investors in Moscow, Russia, but the meeting ended unsuccessfully. Distance I then? Honestly, yes. But I was sure that they are just complete morons and do not understand what I did. I brought everything to the end and one year after the launch of my project was bought Fontlab, and now my technology used in Adobe Illustrator CS 5. I was upset now, after the YC rejection? Yes.
