Re:Postgres 19 is late, and it's AI's fault on Monday November 02, 2026 @01:08AM (#50333618)
TLDR After decades of being increasingly whittled down and optimized, an absoltuely fundamental piece of computing is now predomaitnely fixing bugs rather than adding new features.
Well duh look no further than this site itself. "SUPER" AGI that can solve a millenial problems, and the top voted thing we can do with it is take the ads away from netflix-tier content distribitors, basically piracy.
Re:When electric cars were for women on Sunday November 01, 2026 @06:04PM (#50330827)

Re:AI promised less work. I've never worked more on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @11:31AM (#50260854)
Here's a better question: are you a friggin bot or something, or just compulsive about collecting internet points here? you post an inhumane amount on every single thread, doing nothing but questions and regurgitations of the "HN Hivemind" wrapped up in vague anecdotes about "previous jobs"
Elephant in the room: if they "solved" a millennium problem in 3 days, why can't they do another one after weeks and weeks? not a good look, pretty much proof they stole the results from their users.
Re:Code Is Clay Now on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @09:48PM (#50190126)
Code is clay now, agents have surpassed most human coders, arguably arriving at AGI. Yet the team at Hacker News STILL can't figure out how to make their forum software bump a post without these embarrassing fake time stamps.
what's going on with python that this is considered zero-dependency? requirements.txt, import gradio?
