Re:When did Google get so f-ing weird? on Monday September 28, 2026 @12:55PM (#49880959)
interestingly enough, i had a mildly similar experience--also basketball related--this morning. I was looking for the fan's response to Draymond's engagement bait, "What's worse than a bad thanksgiving meal?" ( i searched whats worse than a bad thanksgiving meal draymond) to which google's AI said "No meal". i had to stop using it because it threw me off so bad.

For those curious the engagement went like this:

Draymond Green via threads: What's worse than a bad thanksgiving meal?

Fan: when a veteran leader punches his Youngblood teammate and instantly ends the dynasty

Draymond Green: Damn

for context, Draymond punched Jordan Poole on Oct 5, 2022 the season after Poole shone for the golden state for their 4th dynasty championship ring. Poole had shown some potential for being a great shooter.

Re:I Want to Live Like Costco People on Thursday May 07, 2026 @05:23PM (#48055253)
Yea so true. Unlike many with families here, I (a single 26M) recently got a costco membership for the gas savings, whenever i stop by costco in the middle of the month, i'm looking for one or two things. This time it happened to be peanut butter, it's insane the amount of times I had to tell myself, no you dont need this, get peanut butter and leave.

Ofcourse it's very convenient that their app doesnt show what aisle things belong to so that was a fun realization.

Always feared this would happen. from the first two paragraphs it's clear the author is eager to deflect responsibility to the Agent, or their makers/vendors.

Always a fear with technology when u can blame some abstract thing as opposed to the actual last line of defence, the management then the programmer in charge.

I'm assuming this is the new modus operandi?

Can you please share the links to these apps in the app store?
Re:Show HN: Donut Browser, a Browser Orchestrator on Saturday May 31, 2025 @12:03PM (#44145150)
Super duper stuff. Love the interface and ease of use.

I can't seem to figure out how to stop and start browsers while restoring my sessions, i'm I missing something obvious?

Re:Learn OAuth by building a client with Node.js on Friday April 19, 2024 @07:16AM (#40085375)
I'm learning OAuth right now and this is great!

It's simple with barebones implementations. I'm trying to now learn the server (OAuth provider) side aspect of things so if anyone has any good guides I'd highly appreciate! Alot of the stuff we see in the client side we take for granted e.g redirecting user back to the client? Generating Access tokens? Generating OAuth tokens, verification of identity etc etc.

Any help is appreciated!

Sounds good. can't find an email on your homepage, but I sent one to the email on your privacy policy page. Might land in the spambox. Looking forward to it.

author here. This definitely sounds all good. I'll be trying out your app. Funnily enough, when we were building this, friend pitched the idea you're doing (seems fantastic) on GabrielAI so we will be signing up for the beta.

A bit classless, but do you mind if I reach out to you about your experience building GabrielAI?

My friend and I built a gmail add on to easily parse tasks from an email and add them to your calendar.

sweet. thank you
Re:Flipper Zero: Multi-Tool Device for Geeks on Monday January 22, 2024 @10:15AM (#39090308)
A friend got this for me, but I'm struggling to put it into any useful purpose, any pointers with things I can experiment it.

Using it as a remote seems so cool, esp bc I lost my roku remote not so long ago so if you have any resources that could help I'd appreciate it.

The documentation I've seen so far seems far and scattered and it seems people are more scared of being implicit in illegal activities based on their resources.

Obsidian Local LLM Assistant. It's actually a fork of someone else's project who was working with the Open AI API.
