Wells Fargo most likely would only make money on the origination and other fees associated with the refi. The vast majority of mortgages are sold to the Fannie/freddies and Wells Fargo doesn't make a dime off the interest. So it would definitely benefit them to do the refi.
Does Mir's existence have anything to do with Wayland's slow development? I read (source unavailable, sorry) that Canonical grew frustrated with Wayland's crawl and decided to make their own.
Again, not sure if this is the case.
Is this a secure boot / Microsoft key issue?
Could be cool; I don't know programming but I would love to be able to make some finance apps that no one has seemed to produce thus far.

Cinnamon is great. I'm actually using a gnome classic DE right now, but i suspect that I'll switch to cinnamon when it becomes more polished.
Let's be honest, Apple didn't shut down their home page. There's a very visible "X" in the corner that can disable this immediately.
It's certainly a touching tribute, but let's not act like Apple is sacrificing significant revenue (which is looks like some people are assuming).
The letter from Cook brings the spotlight back onto Apple's products.

The video was really good though :)
I've found that moving my alarm clock from the nightstand to my dresser has made all the difference.
Did he post his own blog?
