blambeau

Didn't know about it, thanks @aerzen
good to know. Should we join forces ?
Which one ?
We should write power users, maybe.

Peppol interconnecting No Code tools like Make and others

Check finitio.io

Might be an alternative with less complexity for a simple filtering use case.

Sorry about that
SQL does not support lambda functions.

I need to check what we will do in that case.

Claude did, I swear

The parser was built gradually though, with logs of increments under automated tests.

Point taken. Will see what I can do.

Probably TODAY + Duration({ days: 30 }) would be a better example then.

Claude Code helped me make a Typescript implementation of BMG (https://www.relational-algebra.dev/)

BMG initially existed in Ruby (with a SQL compiler there that hasn't been ported to TS yet).

You no longer have any excuse to build complex Typescript/Javascript code to manipulate data. Just learn RA.

Who else finds that Notion, Make, N8n, Klaro Cards and all the others need a decent expression language ?

Great stuff :-)

Most introductions to relational algebra lack effective tooling, while SQL is closer to a calculus than an algebra

I hope university teachers will see here an opportunity for practical exercises with their students !

(lead dev here). Not intended, as I don't use Rails myself. But I would of course support every PR making Bmg compatible/great with it.

AFAIK Arel is not a real algreba, since it does not really allow composing relations the way we want.

I'm the author. If you are a software developer or run a software company, how would you define your global test strategy? What and why do you test?

I'm not very good at naming things. I'm aware of the name clash with many other tools and would really like to find another name. If you have any better idea, just let me know.
Re:Q – A Data Language on Monday March 03, 2014 @10:07AM (#7334041)
The point here is to have a separate language. Data interoperability is about having multiple languages, not having only one to rule the world.
