Not sure what we can get from this article as there are so many variables... What "digital" spend was cut: paid search? online video? paid social media? brand vs. product oriented?
What was the impact of non-marketing drivers like distribution, price, promo, competition, and the economy?
What was the impact of (new) ad creative?
Maybe take it as they are under pressure to cut expenses and cutting marketing, digital and likely non-digital, certainly helps.
Thank you. very interesting. Helped me find other Google queries including SQLFiddle.

I'm writing a SQL tutorial for a bunch of marketing friends. I'd like for them to code as they go.They've told me that I'll lose them if I ask them to set up SQLite, MySQL, etc. on their laptops. So, I’d like to use a web-based interactive console like that on W3schools (http://www.w3schools.com/sql/trysql.asp?filename=trysql_select_all) with my own data. Basically load up some tables and...

Good morning. For streaming, I mostly use Netflix. When a selection is not available I look at other services starting with Amazon Prime. This can take a long time and not arrive at the best choice (e.g. i found it for sale on Prime but it was free on Hulu).
I'm looking for a service or a way that shows content and details (e.g. is it free with my membership?) across different providers,...
Is anyone doing this for analytics/data science/statistics or business intelligence/data warehousing?
I'm the same and did not discover this until about the 5th time I took the Myers-Briggs Personality Test. My initial tests had me almost exactly between extroversion and introversion.
On my last test, the facilitator explained the energy/stress aspect with a number of examples like your dinner party. She also mentioned people are naturally one or the other, not 50/50.
I realized that my natural inclination was introversion. I believe that what I perceived as my extroverted side was learned through a social upbringing to engage others, which is beneficial. There are a number of social/extroverted things that I sincerely enjoy but I walk away exhausted.

Hello. My interests and livlihood involves working with data - accessing, analyzing, etc. - to improve the organizations of where I work. I'm coming across 2 particular problems:1. Difficult to stay up to date on all things related to data & analysis. Hitting a bunch of sites and feeds is not very effective.
2. Keeping track of data/analytic resources in one place. I'm talking things...
This is where a good analytical (as opposed to operational) data model comes into play. Something less normalized that is intuitive and efficient to use.
Regarding your last point... are you talking 'turnkey' as in something like 37 Signal's Basecamp?
Please suggest where I can find reliable facts and statistics regarding the conditions in US prisons including violence and rape. Thank you.

Regarding R's processing power, I haven't found it to be an issue. When building a model and testing, I use a sample of the data which is usually less than 100,000 observations. I use samples even when using a tool like SAS Enterprise Miner.
As far as scoring, I usually export using PMML and run it natively on the database. Makes for fast execution. PMML is available in R, RapidMiner, and other packages.
As far as outsourcing, I have some info on how to communicate with the developer, not get ripped off, etc. But what about IP? Should I assume that any code that is outsourced has come from other projects and/or the code that I'm paying to have developed will be used by others in the future? Is there any way to control this (especially when dealing with a dev thru a computer screen)?
Your statement made me think. Looking at my friends, family, and colleagues, I can think of 2 small groups where your statement fits. The rest, I feel, do seek to understand and empathize. In my case, it is the minority.
One reason is that his reasons might resonate with others and add value. It did with me.
Putting 'Dvorak' in the title would have saved me some time.

Do you mind telling what dosages you were taking? Thank you.
Great cause. Looking forward to learning how they attack the problem.
From a personal stand point, I can't tell you now much relief/satisfaction I get since eliminating debt (outside of a mortgage) or how much stress I get when the occasional short term debt comes about (which motivates me to eliminate it).
They mention debt as a 'hair on fire' problem. What are some others?
Have you directly brought these issues to his attention? If you haven't...
I'd list the items that are bothering you most and how'd you like to have them resolved. Maybe run it by a trusted friend - someone who will be directly honest with you. Then, break the list into two categories - can live with it and can't live with it. For the former, make like a duck - let them roll off your back. Just shrug your shoulders, roll your eyes, and say 'Oh that <cofounder name> is silly'. For the later, I'd look to directly address your partner in a manner that is meaningful to him. If you come to some consensus, set ways to monitor it to see if things are improving.
After this, you will have accomplished 2 things. One, you took ownership of the situation in a mature and constructive manner. This helps, especially if things don't work out, since you know you gave it your best (read: less regrets). Two, you'll have a better idea of how likely things are to improve.
If you have done this and things are not working, then look at the options. Is it worth sticking it out? If not, list your options. Often times, the black and white options (quit cold turkey and stick it out) are not the best. Consider options like decreasing your role, decreasing his, bringing in a third party (e.g. a design guy), having distinct boundaries of responsibilities, or you taking over the design element.
If it is time to part ways, I'm sure you'll do it in a professional manner that doesn't burn bridges.
Best wishes.

Well done! Incredibly intuitive. The image add/text alignment is great and html editing to boot. Can you tell if many users have added google analytics?
Really interesting! Looking forward to see how it progresses, the applications, and if it become reasonable/affordable for small scale/home use.

great point ErrantX. I also believe his simple, humble approach to communicating is genius! He gets his points across to a wide audience and lays a foundation to open-minded, constructive discussion.
