Don't forget that many of the stadiums are at least partially funded by taxes.
Re:Amazon Alexa Comes to Pebble Core on Thursday June 02, 2016 @12:20PM (#11823762)

Re:Benchmarking JS on Wednesday May 13, 2015 @12:56AM (#9536837)
Really enjoyed that LXJS 2013 video the first time I saw it highlighted on Dave Methvin's blog ("Please Stop the jsPerf.com Abuse!"). Hilarious and very informative - thanks!
Re:Schwab password policies and two factor authentication on Monday December 22, 2014 @02:12PM (#8784533)

Re:How Hacker News Completely Changed My Life on Thursday August 23, 2012 @10:12PM (#4425887)
Thanks, I found this post inspiring and as a web developer living in a Minneapolis suburb in a bit of a rut, it really hits close to home.
Re:Peter Thiel's Rise to Wealth and Libertarian Futurism on Tuesday May 29, 2012 @06:11PM (#4040261)
In the US the party (I assume the majority) is not against all government. They just want to limit government.
Re:Peter Thiel's Rise to Wealth and Libertarian Futurism on Tuesday May 29, 2012 @02:38PM (#4038986)
"get rid of all law enforcment..."

Are you confusing libertarianism with anarchism?

Re:Why I Use Safari Instead Of Firefox on Friday April 20, 2012 @01:24PM (#3868870)
The ironic thing is that a lot of it discusses browser UI design.
