There is a difference between building a product and building a product that sells. So, which one are we talking about here? In my opinion MMM talks about the latter
In India, Orkut was a massive success back in the day. We've had testimonials, and we used to spend a lot of time writing them. We used to spend hours hacking the corporate firewall to access Orkut during office hours!

I think OSS maintainers can protect themselves from hacktoberfest PR slop! A welcome change.

Reminds me of a famous quote from Jurassic Park (1993): Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." - Dr. Ian Malcolm
That character in the movie is my favorite.

<img> also supports "srcset" which can make the image component responsive. Hope they add a placeholder to it which can account for loading state.

MySQL was a proven solution back in the day, i.e late 2000s. Github/Twitter/Heroku etc were using it. In the past 10-15 years, Postgres has come a long way.

The only implementation which is going head on with MRI is JRuby. I've heard from JRuby implementers that keeping the runtime compatible with MRI is an uphill battle. I don't know if AI can help this cause.

I still believe in writing good prompts or good instructions. Bad prompts can sometimes blow up the bill. A poorly written spec can waste a lot of tokens

It's convenience. Nothing beats it. Having an agent work alongside you with no restrictions gives instant gratification.

I remember using Elm in one of my gigs. After I left, the client hated me. Not to forget all the drama that it had before Covid. I really want this language to succeed, but its bdfl is trying hard....

In the world of AI, I think the future of email is deliver-ability.
The new fad is "loop". And any loop should have a trigger. Rather having countless integrations, let all the triggers to got email, and those triggers trigger loops. I feel AI can kick off from personal/shared inboxes to deliver meaningful outcomes

I'm curious how reviews happen for such huge PRs (120k lines). Do reviewers sit and go through all these changes over days?
