as a founder i'd very much like to spend like a week once every 2 months in NYC or LA. I live in SF, is there any platform that'll allow me to find other founders to swap rooms?not kindred as it's high-end homes, i'm just looking for a trustworthy founder community.

it's hard, although i would try to say that consumer social is actually just consumer consumption these days. yes we do see random stories of our friends here and there, but what's the likelyhood of us engaging with them? and what's the likelihood we'd click on that reels button and keep consuming reels for hours.

there's nothing you can do. ideas are really just ideas, if i was the CTO i'd give you a call back and appreciate the idea and show you that we executed it perfectly and it works and buy you dinner.

i'm leaving a comment here because i think peter roberts is the OG. there's so many immigration attorney's now all around SF. but i remember peter being there from back in like 2016 when i was looking for attorney's. although i didn't go with him (peter thank you for doing this, and taking a call with me back in the day)

presuming most of the users of this site are founders, i'm trying to gauge how intense is doomscrolling (short-form content) hurts your productivity.i personally have spent closer to 5k hours of my life doomscrolling through tiktok. and i'm on the healthier end compared to the average american 21 year old. i delete the app, redownload, & blockers really never work for me.i think there's .1%...

hot take but i think a moat is skill, extreme execution & luck.i don't understand when people pull engineering moats when raising capital. like literally any technical build can be replicated?unless and otherwise you're a researcher, can we talk about how makes a great moat specially for consumer startups?like what's the moat of tiktok / youtube. creators are almost all the time jumping...

I think it's pretty great, the founders are amazing too. It has very limited number of pods and most of the time booked in advance.
