"Yen was not happy that Proton was drawing attention to this limitation."

This has always been the case. Lack of transparency and dishonest, overzealous marketing.

I use Fastmail because they are at least honest about their limitations and Proton is completely overhyped in terms of the genuine privacy and security of their products. Good to know that beyond being mediocre they've confirmed it's all increasingly AI slop: "Ninety percent of code at Proton in October was written by AI"

Never trusted this company because of Andy, and never will.

From the guy who runs XMTP:

"XMTP is the world's new private line. Send messages and money securely between people or agents — with no company or country in the middle."

Hi, Kagi team member here. We made this page for a simple reason: plenty of people still haven't discovered Kagi, and the ones who have often want to share it but don't know where to start. The landing page can only do so much, so we wanted a place that captures the "magic" people talk about when they use Kagi. Since so many describe the experience as magical, we figured we'd double down on that, and give it a page of its own. We gotta have some fun along the way, no harm in trying!

Thanks for checking it out. There's currently over 30K blogs in the feed and we try to diversify it as much as possible. We welcome anyone to contribute more blogs, video channels and comics here:

Kagi team member here who helped author that blog post announcement. That's a fair point, and we've updated the post to now clearly mention that we use AI for the daily briefing. Thank you for your feedback!
In what ways does Kagi seem worse? Any specific examples?
There are only two business models on the web: either you pay for your browser, or someone else does. This is why Orion is entirely user-funded, and can continue serving users by prioritizing privacy, control, and features like powerful, built-in ad-blocking. Not third party deals, ads, or any other incentive to corrupt the user experience and overall quality.

(Disclosure, I work for Kagi, creator of the Orion browser.)
