Bought it for 70% cheaper on my phone
Re:Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday January 16, 2025 @09:57AM (#42726061)
Maybe that is the case. But when the switch came out the marketing was heavily skewed towards "party" games to play with your friends in the same room.
Re:Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday January 16, 2025 @09:54AM (#42726006)
Has anyone played any games besides Zelda / Mario Kart that actually felt complete and worth the money. I love love love the switch but getting really demoralized by the lack of titles I can play with friends; especially online.

The comments referencing quantified scientists do so in a somewhat negative light. But it should be noted that in his research, he points out that the oura is one of the top trackers for sleep[0]. This is not the only video that he praises the oura for being pretty damn good based on other devices.

Re:Show HN: I made a super simple iOS app to track expenses on Thursday February 16, 2023 @10:16AM (#34819749)
That's what I use but their bank connections are so hit or miss and they always blame it plaid which is not the case.

I'll give YNAB a go

Re:Show HN: I made a super simple iOS app to track expenses on Thursday February 16, 2023 @09:38AM (#34819184)
FWIW, I know this is a simple app and all but the biggest pain I've ever found in expense tracking is no one supports multi currencies. I have literally one option to track expenses in CAD and USD.

Do you or anyone you know still provide "ops as a service"? Would love to talk to someone who does this.
This speaks to me. I will patiently wait for SSO capability. With that being said, if anyone has built scalable SSO flows specifically Azure AD, and want to help us implement it - please get in touch.

Hell yea
Yea, we actually don't use safari at all in our app. So this might not have an effect but it's pretty vague.
I really appreciate this link. I would have never seen this otherwise. It's kind of a disappointment for us on the enterprise side. Our main offering is an offline app where people are disconnected from the internet for weeks and we use localStorage to validate who they are. It's a bit vague about how this affects apps that don't use safari. Nevertheless, we might have to start to really think about the user experience here now that this update is out.
Re:Show HN: React Nice Dates on Tuesday January 21, 2020 @08:16PM (#22113601)
Totally agree, if this had time options we would use this in production in a heart beat. Trying to get off ant design but their date/time picker is pretty clean.

I will say, this is SUPER clean. Great work Hernán!

Re:Tell HN: I grew Visa List to $5k per month in a year on Sunday December 15, 2019 @01:50PM (#21798036)
Password reset logic is the big difference. A lot easier just to use a third party token authentication service than to code all that logic. Wouldn't it be just as easy for you to create a new google account and use that to sign in?

I totally get it from your point of view, but whenever I make passion projects - if I don't have to build user management features in terms of passwords - it's a big load off my plate.

Ask HN: How do you keep track of product feature management?

In our company, we have a Web, Mobile, & Backend platform that currently consists of about 100 new features that I am prioritizing in an Excel sheet based on effort and company/customer value. It's definitely getting to the point where I don't feel organized. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks on building out a system of keeping track of all the features that they want to build...
