Ask HN: How does Twitter implement following and followers between users?
I have always been curious as to how twitter implemented this in their user model. How do they keep track of who the user is following and who is following the user?

As an unproven, but extremely passionate and motivated person (who is literally 2 hours away from going into his first Software Developer interview), I found this calming. If I don't get this position I really hope I find a company with the same ideals portrayed in this article.
