I used both for a long time. i3 for non-terminal work, and tmux in the terminal. Loved it, and am ready to move back to Linux for better OS-tiling management. I also ran it on OpenBSD on my laptop as a daily driver for about ~9 months. Loved the security/simplicity, but made it more difficult or impossible for certain Linux only tools.
It's always been a chore to keep sessions (and tmux windows) at a minimum to avoid context switching and the cognitive drag/fatigue that comes with too many. My goal is 2 active sessions to avoid context switching, but it's so easy to just take on more tasks and try to cycle between all of them, and accomplish less overall. I've had upwards of a dozen, and it is very draining. Even more panes within windows to track subtasks becomes unruly. The other problem is that work keeps ballooning as agents pick up related/unplanned work along the way all the time. I try to reign things in by having the agent create tickets that we will revisit during planning sessions later. By keeping tasks minimal, it feels slower, but then I can think deeply about the problem without the cognitive residue coming from all the other sessions.
They use 3d scanning of the originals to create CNC-dies to re-create some classics.

Still a problem for me, and has been for years, but I may be holding it wrong. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255929514?sortBy=rank

The solution posted in the discussion is not really secure.

I canceled my account recently for the same reason. The two day or same day shipping would never happen even though on the product it was advertised as such.

I’m interested to see how project finch works out compared to Docker on a Mac. It’s an open source client for container development.

When I tried Rancher Desktop it didn’t work so well.

Being able to time shift video instruction content made all the difference in the world for me. I could rewind and watch something multiple times until it clicked. Helped me significantly with college mathematics.

Re:Ask HN: Have You Left Kubernetes? on Monday August 01, 2022 @10:34AM (#32306525)
I migrated a company from k8s to ECS/Fargate in 2019. Kubernetes is very flexible, but I opted for simplicity.

The result of the migration was that there is little underlying infrastructure to maintain, and ongoing operational costs were lowered by 50% year over year. The CTO and I liked the setup so much, we started converting another large client of theirs. I followed up with them at the beginning of 2022 to see how things were going, and they still love it. There is so little maintenance, and now they have more time to focus on what they do best–Software!

Other options on the horizon that I'm testing include utilizing AWS Copilot with ECS/Fargate, and/or Copilot with Amazon App Runner.

I'd be interested in hearing if Cloudflare uses a managed Kafka service like MSK, Confluent, or Aiven. Also would be nice to hear the history and more pain-points in getting Kafka to scale to where they are at now.

Smaller attack surface internally, for sure. I also assume internal networks are hostile, not just from internal threats, but from external lateral movement.

Yep, or turn it into a script and use an IDE/Vim/etc and test in the terminal.
