> What is the hardware cost to run a single instance of a frontier model?
The latest Kimi model, which scores higher than 5.1 Fable on Artificial Analysis, is estimated to require around 6-7 TB of VRAM to run. If we are going with many A100 GPUs for this, then we are looking around a million dollars in GPUs alone

> In the US I can start a company and instantly have a market of 350M. Start a company in an EU country, then try to expand to another country, it’s a nightmare.
This is not exclusive to the US, though. NordVPN is an example - it launched in Lithuania and now has global reach, and thousands of EU companies have went that path as well. I am not saying that it is on par with the US on this metric, but let's not pretend that such things don't happen in the EU
You can do that with Android foldables using Termux
Can't wait for the JerryRigEverything video
The foldable screen in the Duo is likely to be manufactured by Samsung, although chances are that it will be a heavily customized variant of what we see in the Galaxy Folds

Subtle
The main reason as far as I'm aware was due to intense lobbying from car companies. It makes absolute sense from the perspective of Ford, etc. to have alternative modes of transport be removed from the streets
Of course they do not have the obligation to do so. This is more about Apple doing a nice gesture to the "owners" of their devices
If you have a jailbroken PS5, you can get FPS patches that unlock the framerate for many games. RDR2 runs smoothly at 60FPS in 1080p with the patch [1]. I suspect that such patches will be released for GTA6 as well soon after release

> comparable to mainstream NVIDIA GPUs
By this they probably mean RTX series GPUs? If so, then they are not comparing the hardware efficiency with the A100 / H100, etc. that are commonly used for training models
> Although the LLM providers state that they will not use your data for training when you sign an enterprise deal
It can be very hard to prove in court that your data was used for training
> and my phone can already track steps with reasonable reliability
Perhaps, but not everyone carries their phone around with them all the time
I asked for a source apart from Apple's own marketing. That's just a Apple marketing page
That is absolutely the case for many private healthcare providers as well. It depends on where you are and what care you need
Sounds like a Ron Swanson quote
As long as that does not translate to good short-term profit, the shareholders won't budge

Uber drivers are generally a joke compared to black cab drivers in pretty much every way
> One of the few reasons to use iPhone is that it doesn't constantly surveil you.
Curious, do you have a source for this apart from Apple's marketing?
I completely agree with you. It was a satirical nod to the quote from Richard D. Wolff
Socialism is when the government does stuff
The only meaningful way to discourage such actions from companies is to pass new laws. Not playing on your Playstation for a little bit will not change anything
> So my theory is that GTA 6 is somewhat larger and they really didn't want to invest into engineering a solution for multiple-disc
Metal Gear Solid did this 1998
The article specifically mentions shortages of U.S.
Army stockpiles of specifically
ATACMS and
PrSM weapons. Do keep in mind that other types of missile systems exist and other branches of the military besides the Army exist as well.
Great video about this article from a political science / game theory professor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-ewrIenEbo
> The USA has never been defeated. It's never been taken over by force and forced to submit to a foreign power. War getting a little too expensive or politically unpopular for their tastes is not really a loss, and it implies nothing about their true capabilities.
Wars are not contests of hypothetical maximum destructive capacity. They are attempts to obtain political goals at an acceptable cost. It was a strategic and political defeat, even though it was not an unconditional military surrender.
