yes, it's 2026, people use ai.

I came across this the other day - https://impeccable.style/
Re:I'm in a Meeting on Saturday October 10, 2026 @10:59PM (#50039424)
I don't want it hand coded, but you could put in some effort in and write more than 1 prompt lol.
Re:I'm in a Meeting on Friday October 09, 2026 @01:32PM (#50023942)
coming from someone who is the farthest from an ai hater, these zero effort cookie cutter one shot claude sites are just bleh. Why would I bother using the site if you put in 0 effort
Re:Livenerf: Has Opus 5.5 been nerfed yet? on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @12:31AM (#49904369)

this bench was just released, it couldn't have detected opus 4.6 degradation.

Re:What About Rails? on Friday September 25, 2026 @11:07AM (#49845715)
You can tell what type of framing the article will be about AI by what social media they choose to use and link in the footer of their website. It never fails.
This is my exact experience with the model - https://x.com/ThePrimeagen/status/2095565354726502683

And it just BURNS tokens like crazy.

The fact that gemini 3.8 flash is so high up there just tells you this is an awful benchmark.

Try and use gemini 3.8 yourself for any real world work and you'll see it's terrible. It'll just go in circles reading the same file 20 times for no reason making hundreds of tool calls for a simple change.

EDIT: I was using gemini cli... it's not a harness issue lol

Good.
Re:A website for debloated open source alternatives on Sunday August 23, 2026 @05:37PM (#49412881)
i've found this site easier to use and have better results than alternativeto. https://openalternative.co/

make an x account then?

Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to GitHub on Monday August 17, 2026 @05:43PM (#49338094)
It's not exaggerated. If you use AI at all for any code in the project it cannot be hosted on codeberg. They made that pretty clear in their blog post.

You can read it yourself - https://blog.codeberg.org/protecting-our-floss-commons-from-...

Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to GitHub on Monday August 17, 2026 @11:20AM (#49332512)
use codeberg if you're ok with never using ai in any of your projects. Any AI use and your repo is banned. - https://blog.codeberg.org/protecting-our-floss-commons-from-...
Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to GitHub on Monday August 17, 2026 @11:18AM (#49332473)
if you use ai to program at all you can't use codeberg.
Re:Taste Is All That's Left on Friday August 07, 2026 @03:05PM (#49214943)
I'm sure you'd like $100 then to give the founder of pangram an essay they classify as AI that is in fact not ai.

Free money, right?

Re:Taste Is All That's Left on Friday August 07, 2026 @03:04PM (#49214914)
pangram says this is AI generated and has a very, very, VERY low rate of saying something is AI generated wrong.

https://www.pangram.com/history/0b397596-fa85-4869-bae3-2b1d...

how is this slop? It's pretty good. Or do you classify ANYTHING made with ai "slop". So reddit is slop, x is slop, slack is slop, discord is slop, etc.
Re:Grok 4.5 on Thursday July 09, 2026 @12:19AM (#48840950)
Cursors whole moat is their harness. Other people have benched opus and GPT models through Claude code, codex, and cursor, and cursor came out on top everytime because of their harness.
Re:I think I have LLM burnout on Thursday July 09, 2026 @12:09AM (#48840882)
What work are you doing where an LLM can’t meaningfully contribute to your everyday work
Re:Amazon Without the Knockoffs on Tuesday July 07, 2026 @07:51PM (#48825609)
This guy isn’t taking financial contributions, and the Amazon brand list is only one part of the product.
Re:Amazon Without the Knockoffs on Tuesday July 07, 2026 @05:24PM (#48824029)
That’s not the problem. The problem is buying stuff from AJSH or HUYA or BJFGL or MNQW or NBXA or any other random 4 letter “company” on Amazon for $40 when the item is crappy $2 item off aliexpress being drop shipped on Amazon.
Re:Amazon Without the Knockoffs on Tuesday July 07, 2026 @05:19PM (#48823953)
This is like the maintainers of all Adblock lists getting upset at the creator of uBlock origin for using them.
well yes, you were in Toronto, where there is a very very veeerry high cheating ratio compared to other areas.
everyone knows what the cause of that transition was.

hint: look at canada.

Re:The quiet disappearance of the free-range childhood on Sunday April 19, 2026 @03:13AM (#47822386)
Yes
Zulip is a website packaged into an electron app. It does not take $1billion to implement webrtc into a website as screensharing + video / audio calls are a solved problem on the web (Zulip is a web app).

Where did you get the idea that it takes a ton of money to do it?

so instead of discord, google, meta having access to private convos... we should all switch to Zulip and have Zulip being the one with access to those convos? Or join someones self hosted instance and let them have access to those convos?

I am confused.
