Well, I was thinking of saving the booking slots presented to the customers for data purposes. Also, I was thinking that it might help to store the presented slots in case someone else books it before the person decides to reserve. This way eliminating the option in realtime might be easier and without having to recalculate all the remaining available slots again? But maybe there is a better solution to this....
I am trying to build a SAAS service for booking services. One of the engineering issues I ask myself is if the following will become an issue in the future: do I save all the options of slots available I show each customer in the database or do I just calculate the slots virtually and save only the confirmed bookings?

Have you tried Dokku? Very similar to Heroku. I run it on a DO server without any issues.
For myself I would prefer a solution were I would still die but can retain all my functions until that day (mental performance, muscle mass, strong bones, bodily functions, etc).

It would be great if Google drive wouldn't use up my MacBook's battery so fast. All the time my cpu usage is at 100% when using Google Backup and sync. Something that other competitors have managed to do better than Google. Using dropbox at the moment.

Dr. Walker has actually stated that very few people can operate with 5 hours of sleep due to genetics. Most of us need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep.
Most people just act irrational and maybe can't really see how much you actually contribute to the organization. We humans are really biased when it comes to choices.

I would read these two books:

She said the following a while back:

"I think that the minute that you have a backup plan, you've admitted that you're not going to succeed."

I bet she wishes she had a backup plan now...

Ask HN: Would you pay for bootcamp students to build your MVP at a lower price?

I am looking for feedback for this idea.We are currently offering a free bootcamp to students in Guatemala but have found that many students are not able to pay for their personal expenses while studying. Also, completely free is not sustainable for the school long-term.We are thinking of this model. One student works on a project for 8 weeks. The base price is somewhere around $1,000 for...

Re:Ask HN: Starting a web project in 2015. What stack to use? on Wednesday August 19, 2015 @11:52PM (#10089949)
Why don't you try out Meteor? I found it really easy to work with. You could probably go through the whole book tutorial (discovermeteor.com) in 20 hours. If you don't end up using it on production; it might help you with faster prototyping.

This is a shitty version of "Breaking Bad"...
I talked to one call center in India and then I had to speak to the Latin America call center. They all said the same thing.
I will upload the invoice shortly that shows feb 2013 purchase from Amazon. How did you manage to come up with the part number?
I did talk them in Spanish, the manager was the one I spoke to there...
from Amazon.com
Hey Bobby! Thanks for the support!
You are right...I will
Thank you Mike! I saw your comment on twitter!
I have actually bought many Toshibas from abroad and took them to certified Toshiba centers here in Guatemala. It seems that they recently changed which countries it covers but forgot to change the documentation on the box and the warranty card.
I can see that happening but in this case I am screwed..
I just want my laptop fixed. Once they fix it I would gladly remove everything. Sadly this is the only way to get their attention.
So if other companies are worse does that excuse another of doing wrong?
Most brands are made in Foxcon anyways. I think it is the support and service that makes the brand.
Not that I know of...They just said is not covered in Latin America anymore and that the warranty manuals are wrong...
