https://prettylog.net

Hey HN,I often check raw logs - out/error.log, nginx's access.log, etc, but they're hard to readSo I built beautiful parser & formatter with filtering and syntax highlightingPrettyLog supports many common log formats out of the box: - nginx access logs - Apache error logs - Syslog (RFC 5424) - Logfmt (Heroku/Go style) - Docker logs - standard/node.js logs - Spring Boot logs - AWS...

Show HN: I made a web app for structured podcast summaries

https://wisdomsnap.com/

Hey HN,I follow a lot of podcasts and the episodes are often 2-3 hours long, so I made a web app that gives me a structured podcast summary with applicable habits and recommendations. My goal isn’t to discourage you from listening to the podcast, but rather to help you decide whether the episode is worthwhile and to provide notes. The endgame is to give you a personal feed of podcasts that you...

I've been told women care about their body count because they don't want to go over a certain arbitrary number, which is fair. That number will be inherently low so there's no need to track it.

As a guy, I don't have a limit but since I'm not chasing everything that walks, I don't really care about my number either. Having an actual list, seems like something a sociopath would do...

I've also started doing this recently and it helps a lot. The only time where it's a problem is when working with design/photography obviously. It's not a pleasant surprise when I turn it off and realize that colors are not that great.

I got my first NAS last summer, Synology DS218+ and I'm very happy with it. The Plex server works on it flawlessly.
Agree, I'm quite looking forward to see it.
There are professionals using FCP.
I don't have any intention to do a construction work any time soon, but those are some very useful tips and I enjoyed the video. Thank you!

Love the sitcom sound thing!
There's a ton of great Lightroom presets out there, and I've wanted to use them to edit my photos, however I don't have a Lightroom, only some slightly older version of Photoshop.

So I made this tool to convert Lightroom presets(.lrtemplate) to Adobe Camera Raw (.xmp). This way I can use them in Photoshop.

Props for standing up for yourself and not letting them use you without proper compensation. I'm sure you'll be better off somewhere else, where they actually value your personal life & free time.

SW Engineer as well. Office can get noisy quite quickly, so I wouldn't be able to focus without headphones and Spotify. If music distracts you(vocals are the main suspect), try some ambient noises, or movie soundtracks(Hans Zimmer, John Williams). Also a comfortable pair of headphones is preferable.
