Re:Yes, Claude can do nine loops on Friday September 25, 2026 @05:23PM (#49850117)
Are there _still_ only a few computers in the world, or has access massively expanded in a way we can anticipate for AI?

"it's funny because it isn't true"
IMHO not rolling your own auth is asking for stuff like this to happen.

Literally within this thread someone has already suggested using ruff instead of Black and nobody here are colleagues.
Re:After the AI Crash on Wednesday July 29, 2026 @10:00AM (#49097658)
When I joined my first startup, they said if you didn't have a good plan for going public or getting acquired by series C, then the D in series D stood for death. Uber et al raised like a J round. None of the rules around markets or investments are real, it's all vibes-based, and the decision-makers love talking to their ChatGPT mistresses too much to let this all come crashing down.
Re:Apple has decided to compete for creativity app users on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @03:41PM (#48997187)
Probably safer to assume that they always had someone serving in this position and they recently left.
Re:Claude Is Not a Compiler on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @11:37AM (#48993745)
A rebuttal would spend some time trying to make a case, this is a petulant complaint.
it sounds more like they can choose not to work with you just like in America, but maybe the reasons are allowed to be more spurious

It's hilarious how much this post reads as drafted by an LLM. The emdash, "it's not X, it's Y" framing, incredible.

Some of the most profitable ventures this century have been objectively illegal, but when you know you won't go to prison for violating the law, why would you care to follow it?
Looks like they did literally nothing in 2024?
Re:Oracle is underwater on its 'astonishing' $300B OpenAI deal on Tuesday November 18, 2025 @06:07PM (#45973513)
Itanium sales projections vibes
MVNOs are like second or third-tier citizens on mobile carriers, why would Apple hand a lever like that to, say, AT&T?
Sure, but why post a tutorial of how to spin this up in GCP instead of...productizing it in GCP?

The "it" in question is this website's certificate?
Re:Material Theme has been pulled from VS Code's marketplace on Tuesday February 25, 2025 @09:36PM (#43179992)
It seems utterly absurd to me that anybody should be able to issue a copyright claim on a collection of colors and fonts. Copyrights are issued to logos and slogans, not design systems.
Re:One Year After Switching from Java to Go: Our Experiences on Tuesday February 18, 2025 @07:44PM (#43097112)
No questions, but a heartfelt thank you. I've used wire for years and plan to continue doing so. :)

They don't "have" to be any of those things. People are not consistently rational actors, as evidenced by your continued advocacy for Emacs.

Bold of you to think the red states are capable of learning.

I would genuinely be buying one today if the memory upgrades were half as much and I could go to 128GB or even 96.
Re:So long WordPress on Monday October 28, 2024 @04:47PM (#41976115)
The author (and myself, coincidentally) used to work at WP Engine. I still have friends there, I could still describe their infrastructure if I had to. How am I not to interpret myself as "affiliated?"
