I've been trying for the past month to get the app "Toast Plus" removed from their store after it stole 6500 dollars worth of XRP from me. I've decompiled the app and showed them the exact lines of code that are doing the dirty work. Meanwhile i've watched at least 100K USD worth of XRP being funneled into the thief's account from users like me, who thought they were using the old Toast Wallet...

So today I needed to import a private key with around 14600 XRP on it and transfer the money to an exchange. I have a new iphone that doesn't currently have a wallet on it. So I went to the app store and downloaded the first wallet that came up. I did quickly google is toast wallet safe and the results said it was considered safe. So I went ahead and imported the private key and instantly...
Yeah this is wrong. You would need to replace the CPU, both eeproms, and baseband CPU, along with reprogramming the nand with the matching serial and mac address from the clean components. Its not feasible. Now for an ipad, thats another story. I've done hundreds of unlocks for them, since they either don't have an IMEI or can easily be converted to Wifi only, then you only need to remove the nand and reprogram with clean activation data that can easily and cheaply be found online from old retired ipads that are no longer in use. Sometimes you have to replace the wifi modules, as the drivers are different between wifi only and cellular versions.

I really like openVPN better for this stuff. Have a RPI listening on just about every port that exists TCP and UDP (via IP tables rules). I travel a lot. Sometimes places like China. I always get out. Of course I keep the RPI outside my local DMZ for security reasons.

Political action? How has voting worked for you? My hope is as the dollar starts to inflate away (like every other fiat currency that has ever existed) we all instead turn to a block chain currency. Something that can't be manipulated. Something that can't be stolen from us and used to fund three letter agencies.

Does anyone expect a company like Western Union to come out and endorse a currency that can be transferred nearly instantly for practically nothing???!!!
