23. it is almost e^π
The collapse of control systems is happening. This is happening not only in the USA.
Re:Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (March 2026) on Monday March 09, 2026 @09:06AM (#47308520)
I'm working on a computing system that would replace the Turing machine. In 2024, I published a space emulator in which computations can be performed using addressing. In 2025, I published a parallel addressing mechanism based on a sorting network.

Re:How to Stay Sane in a World That Rewards Insanity on Friday November 21, 2025 @05:25AM (#46003129)
The sheep-people were suddenly given freedom of choice, and they immediately rushed to choose their own shepherd. This is where the enormous amount of trust in cheaftans, national leaders, and other autocrats came from. This explains the outbreak of fascism and the cult of force.

Previously, parasites on society had to compete for resources among themselves. Now they can draw them directly. In other words, the existing system of "checks and balances" has collapsed, and there is no new one yet.

Once upon a time, all you needed to program was a compiler. Now, it's moving toward paying to write code. This will certainly kill open source

with the same success the study refutes the researchers' religious belief in the truth

A register is the part of von Newman architecture. von Newman architecture is not only architecture to make classic computations

Update: von neumann

"Computation is vectors"

It is not. Classic computation is addressing. Addressing can be done with sort

Yes

A new computing system based on parallel addressing.

Two demo are already written: explanation how to compute parallel and algorithm of parallel space emulation.

human brain cannot compress much data w/o loss. only few humans (like shereshevsky and peek) were able to remember about megabyte of lossless data

AI Has No Consciousness

tl;dr: Simply put, if a computing system the size of, for example, a hundred petabits cannot compress an arbitrarily large amount of data, then there is no point in looking for consciousness in it.I read an article by the philosopher Dubrovsky in which he had the courage to propose a solution to the so-called "Hard problem of consciousness". Unfortunately, like all the “solutions” to this...
