Re:Ask HN: Best internationalization solutions for SaaS?
on Tuesday November 04, 2025 @02:06PM (#45814712)
I’m exploring i18n solutions for a SaaS project and comparing tools like i18next, next-intl, LinguiJS, Tolgee, Phrase, Lokalise, and Crowdin.
I recently discovered Intlayer, an open-source dev-native CMS that integrates directly with React, Next.js, Vue, and Nuxt.
It keeps translations close to code, automates missing keys, and connects to CI/CD.
Has anyone here tried it or compared it with Tolgee or Phrase in production?

We run a small open-source project (Intlayer) and recently saw a 10x traffic spike from suspicious IPs, mimicking Googlebot and hitting random pages every few seconds.
It looked like someone was trying to get us penalized by Google. We wrote a post explaining what happened and how we responded.
Curious if others have seen something similar and what tools or strategies you use to detect/prevent this?
