EIP 7702 is the most idiotic EIP.

It's the main weak point used in these hacks.

It allows a counter party to withdraw money from your wallet any time.

Just don't "connect" you wallet.

Why should everything have a benefit?
it makes people jealous
cough, cough, USDC
Re:Namecheap just seized and disabled all my domains on Sunday October 18, 2026 @11:42PM (#50148121)
This was confusing since Namecheap used to be a perfect company.

It turns out it was solid to MBA, PE bros [0].

This explains the detoration of services.

Re:Lobbying on Saturday October 10, 2026 @01:10AM (#50029761)
I am of the perspective that it's usually politician's extorting business people.

Kind of like, "If you don't bribe us, we shall pass laws that hurt you."

Business people just want to run their businesses.

Politicians however depend on strife. Which explains why, no matter the politician, nothing ever changes.

If you are to classify business people & politicians in an ecological sense.

- Business people would be symbiotes

- Politicians are parasites

Re:Why Don't People Use Formal Methods? (2019) on Thursday July 30, 2026 @09:35AM (#49109795)
I think it's the culture is software engineering.

In a food delivery app/social network it seems like a waste of time to use formal methods.

When designing software for aircraft, pacemakers, fintechs, cryptography and DeFi protocols there is a bit of value for formal methods. The problem is that often, people with the food app/social network culture are hired to build DeFi protocols.

Which explains why so much money is being stolen form DeFi protocols of late. So why people don't use formal methods.

- 95% of the time, the stakes are low

- 5% of the time, the engineers don't understand the value of formal methods.

Leslie Lamport once joked that if software developers were architects, they would first build a skyscraper and then later draw the blueprint.

With what platform? Stripe, Visa and Banks that arbitrarily ban users?

Fantastic for research!

I not longer need to talk to toxic people on Reddit.

"I want the defaults to be good and just work, and when I do need to tweak something minor, it should take seconds."

This is Apple's secret, its strange how so many people can't see this or why no ine has comprehensively replicated it.

Re:Chat Control passed first round in EU Parliament on Tuesday July 07, 2026 @12:43PM (#48820292)
Why are we so passive to the promotion of such scams?

I keep telling people about such things and I am looked at as nerdy, geeky or boring.

But this stupid reaction finally explains to me why human life for ordinary people will always largely be a life of suffering.

Re:Mir Books – Books from the Soviet Era on Saturday July 04, 2026 @01:48AM (#48782944)
Quick question.

What do soviets make great researchers? I noticed this pattern in ml, math & physics research.

Is it that they have better quality books?

Maybe you could port it to APL?

That i'm sure the code can be made shorter by guys in the code golf community.

In cybernetics, there is a saying that;

"The purpose of a system is what it does".

By observation, the purpose governments is to run scams. After all, it makes no sense to attribute their purpose to things they consistently fail to do.
