Re:Reinfection with Covid-19 6 months later, rapid death on Saturday July 25, 2020 @07:09PM (#23953092)
Absolutely, this looks like the first case report of its kind so we can't draw any conclusions, but hopefully this incident draws a lot of news coverage so that the global medical community is on high alert for this disturbing possibility.

Re:Cosmic Triangles Open a Window to the Origin of Time on Thursday October 31, 2019 @02:21PM (#21411953)
Interesting paragraph which describes how observations could determine the origins of our universe:

> So far, the calculations have concerned the spatial patterns that could arise from cosmic inflation. Alternative theories of the birth of the universe would be expected to have different higher-point signatures. In the last five years, there’s been a renewed interest in bounce cosmology, which recasts the Big Bang as a Big Bounce from a previous era. The new symmetry-based approach might be useful for distinguishing between the higher-point correlations of a universe that inflated and one that bounced. “The mechanism would be different; the symmetries are different,” Pimentel said. “They would have a different menu of cosmological correlations.”

This is huge, even though it is a mouse study space we should really be examining glyphosate more carefully given how prevalent it is in our food.

Re:Intermittent living; the use of ancient challenges as a vaccine on Saturday September 29, 2018 @08:01PM (#18103739)
Paper discusses how intermittent cold, heat, fasting, dehydration, lack of O2, too much CO2, together with stresses from phytochemicals in multiple food products, can improve overall health.
Wow, this adds a lot of perspective. I thought that things were bad nowadays.
