Re:How to Read More Books on Sunday July 12, 2026 @02:13PM (#48883155)
> Another secret is to not be scared of quitting a book. I definitely start way more than I finish. But I don’t consider an uncompleted book a failure or a bad book. I think that sometimes books have a certain time to be fully appreciated. So if I don’t finish a book today, I might try reading it again in the future.

Well said. On a related note, I think the idea of coming back to books later is essential to reading non-fiction, as I've personally found it much more productive to read until I think I've "got it", and then revisit it a few months later with a new (ideally better informed) perspective.

You're absolutely right. I think a lot of it just comes down to the fact that people who've never put any real effort into something (design, writing, programming, etc.) never really understand the beauty and uniqueness that comes with original human content, and so they don't see their slop the same way someone with experience in that area would.

FYI your link takes people to the JS-disabled page, not the actual article.
Looks great. I'd love to see this on Linux or Windows sometime in the future!

Pretty cool idea. I think a calendar based UI to go through the archives would be more user friendly than what you have right now.
