Re:LLMs and Elixir: Windfall or Deathblow? on Thursday June 05, 2025 @07:45AM (#44190666)
Very good article with actionable ideas and suggestions. Thanks for writing and sharing!

Another problem that Elixir community must address is to make it super-easy ("one-click") to deploy to hosting of choice (own VPS or cloud) with most things working auto-magically (configured): app, DB, admin-panel, observability (app, server, db), backups/restore, domain, emails (admin, transactional), even maybe CDN/caching and perhaps some integrations (payments, uptime, alerts, etc.)

Make it a no-brainer as much as possible, otherwise it's a choice to buy (and fight with) a ready SaaS-in-a-box solutions, or go with FREE: Astro+CF_Workers+Neon+any_JS_payment_and_email_packages vibe-coding today!

... PS: Minor edits, love Elixir!

Edits: minor typos.

Can someone point to actually good video/article to learn about building a modern bank/app from both/either engineering and business perspective (eg. Revolut, etc)?

Right, and you posted this reply because you do care that others in the forest know that you deem something "wrong" (actions or ideas) and maybe there's a healthier way to pursue (while reminding to have realistic expectations). The river starts with many single drops gravitating to go somewhere )

Well, good laws should facilitate healthy incentives, also by restricting/discouraging bad behaviors, right? How do we engineer incentives for regulators to be willing to prioritize the broader and industrial engineering of healthier incentives?

Wrong. It's not about morality (or "main character"), it's about caring for your own and your beloved ones current and future. Ignorance, apathy and indifference keep the buyers/consumers/followers encouraging the unhealthy yet very "focused and efficient" morons (big and small) to ruin the world for everyone while they accumulate enormous power to further abuse the rest.

__If you buy gold from someone who poisons a river (to extract the gold more "efficiently"), soon your whole forest will suffer from deceases and degradation.__

You may feel tiny and powerless but it's sane and healthy to care for the whole ecosystem and think about aftereffects of everyone's actions.

I see what you did here ;)

Ah, you b--tard stealing my hard-earned friends! ;))

But seriously, is this how some insecure introverts also bond around those charismatic sociopaths and then help'em ruin the world while quietly working for the XYZ agencies? /s

Thanks! Yet, a little caution goes a long way ;)

Hey guys, while some of the criticism in the comments is pretty sound, keep in mind that genuine authors (and PG too) write first of all to entertain themselves, as a way to have a more clear reflection on their thinking. And they publish to learn from readers' responses.
Can it be used without React? Why make it React-dependent/focused? How's it better than going with synch engines, like eg. Zero? Didn't look at code, sorry, on the go now.
Recently someone shared in a group that ChatGPT (upon request to review a person's expenses to find ways to save money) recommended to cancel OpenAi subscription. :)
Sounds plausible. Can someone tell us how they can hide/get away with such stock shorting?
