Creator here. This site is a clone of outbid.lol, with one exception: you must have an EU VAT number to bid. This number is verified with VIES before payment.
How it works: Your ranking is based on the total of your payments. Bids are permanent; increasing your bid only costs you the difference. Equal bids are awarded to the oldest listing, and reaching first place costs at least €5 more than the currently top-ranked listing. That's the ranking logic; there are no other factors or rating system. The rules are available at overbid.eu/rules.
VAT management: The VIES REST API is called before a Stripe session is created. The results are cached so that top-ups are not redirected to VIES. Invalid results are cached for 24 hours to prevent typos from being blocked, and transient VIES errors are never cached. VIES is known for its sometimes unstable reliability depending on the member state; therefore, a retry system with a timeout and a "Notify me when I can try again" field are implemented. Verification is systematic. The legal name and country are taken from the VIES response and are displayed on the listing.
Configuration: a single Go executable, SQLite in WAL mode with a single-write connection, templ + htmx, Caddy as the front end, on an OVH VPS in Gravelines. The forum is served from a snapshot in memory that refreshes every 5 seconds or with each paid bid; the database is therefore not accessed with every request. Payment via Stripe with VAT self-assessment: self-assessment is applied when the VAT number is valid.
I am available to answer any questions regarding VIES integration or SQLite configuration.

I built it to replace gtmetrix, running lighthouse, and many other tools. All in one free web audit check, over 100 checks, create a nice pdf report, export markdown for agent like claude code, codex to fix issue. Would be glad for any feedback.

I have created this as i run lots of saas and have been burn by ssl and domain renewal in the past. Even using let's encrypt with acme didn't help, i had a ssl cert for a domain and a subdomain done at the same time, the domain passed and the subdomain not, so the cert never renewed. Looking forward to any feedback.

With test, which LLM are good at writing, you can reduce this tremendously. Even Rust won't protect you in this case, remember the cloudflare outage. At the end it is not the language, it is you intrinsic ability to architecture well your software from there any LLM can do the work.

Nice to hear, we are thinking about adding image export and also markdown export. We are awaiting more feedback regarding those two and based on that we will move forward. Thanks for your comment.
OK understood, for the moment we get only the main content, we are working on a new "parser"that can fetch the main content and comment attached to it. For this you are right we don't extract content but we expect to have this released soon. For the book you are right, we will think about it and how to integrate it. Thanks for the feedback, this is greatly appreciated.
We tried several stackexchange url and it did work, for example :
http://codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/92138/the-letter... which has a complicated layout, generate an epub or anything else and you will see the quality is good, we agree that the pdf renderer is not as good as the other yet but we are working on it. If you pls send us at hn at documentcyborg.com or via comment here on hn the link that didn't work so we can get better that would be great. For the book idea the problem is when to stop, if you make a book out of amazon it will take years. Maybe the possibility to add several url and from that generate a "book" document. Thanks for trying the apps, we just wished it was up to your standard but we are constantly improving it since 3 day ago when we launched, so hopefully we will get there soon.
both issue are now fixed, the epub and pdf renderer is now working correctly
On some epub reader we have also an overflow, fixing it now, will let you know once fixed.
The layout for doc, odt, epub, rtf, txt is as good as the medium article, for the pdf you are right, we are fixing our pdf renderer to not overflow element right now. Will keep you updated once done.
For upload we could do file i/o in memory, our stack allow us. But right now if we did it in memory we would run out of memory.
fixed the new title is : Transform any web article into a document
we now have a proper error message
We don't just convert to other format we try to extract the meaningful content only and not the whole page. Thank you very much for your positive comment.
