Nice, this is pretty fun!

Yes, for the most part. P2P networks are hard... Merges and improvements are welcome.
He's a troll, carry on...
Re:An American Privacy Emergency on Thursday July 02, 2026 @10:05PM (#48769868)
Thanks mate... That's exactly why it's open source, merges welcome. If somebody finds a problem they can fix it and take credit.
Re:An American Privacy Emergency on Thursday July 02, 2026 @09:36PM (#48769631)
Got it thanks
Re:An American Privacy Emergency on Thursday July 02, 2026 @09:35PM (#48769627)
You're right and I'm generally not a fan of vibe coding but I'm not trying to make money and it's free YMMV.
Re:An American Privacy Emergency on Thursday July 02, 2026 @09:27PM (#48769555)
Huh? I'm pretty sure I'm a person. But AI would say that too...

Multiple ways, some from the bittorrent / limewire days, some using public stun / turn servers.
Re:Show HN: Gremlin on Wednesday May 13, 2026 @10:34AM (#48122496)
I'm working on it, I'm adding a site now at https://gremlin.thingg.co, there's a screenshot of the interface on thingg.co now. No intention to make money on this one but it's an interesting tool. Thanks for checking it out!

Still working on that one... It fails over to others, or it should.

Re:Bring Bathroom Doors Back to Hotels on Wednesday November 26, 2025 @10:38PM (#46065317)
This is a huge theme (for lack of a better word) in Bangkok... I have seen countless condos with glass box bathrooms. My wife and I love each other deeply but we have 0 desire to make eye contact while pooping. Our daughter is another case but we both hope she will grow out of it.
That seems really high... Are we sure this isn't related to a small number of users trying to find jailbreaks?

Very very beta. No stated mission just working with smart people on interesting ideas.

Re:Learn to Play Go on Sunday September 28, 2025 @02:52AM (#45402277)
Go is a great game, my wife and I always have a drive-by game going, we use 1 lid and swap it after we place a stone.
Re:Writing Code Was Never the Bottleneck on Thursday July 03, 2025 @06:41AM (#44453630)
This resonates a little, it's problems that you need to consider... When I quit smoking I noticed my code quality dropped. It wasn't because I missed the cigarettes, it was the mental break with a solid social excuse I was missing. I started taking smoke breaks, without the smoke and things returned to normal.
Never had mine stolen but united lost 3 of mine between SFO and TPA once. They found them days later.
This is a thing, it's actually required to be locked with non-tsa approved locks. Takes about 10 minutes extra.
CNAM is the database you're looking for, maybe LIDB too. Once you port the number the CNAM should change.
Re:A Return to Blu-ray as Streaming Value Evaporates on Saturday March 23, 2024 @03:50PM (#39802644)
Sure but storing blu-rays is silly, just rip them to disk. Use a lossless codec if you're picky.
Re:A Return to Blu-ray as Streaming Value Evaporates on Saturday March 23, 2024 @02:33PM (#39802096)
Physical media was dead on arrival. This was a product of poor infrastructure eg it's faster and cheaper to ship a DVD vs transferring several GB. This no longer holds true. While streaming and ownership are complicated there's no reason to go back to physical media unless you like vinyl.
If you have access to one you generally have access to both.
It's not about the cost of wire, it's about the cost of software. This is the auto industry version of MCAS. I wish I was joking.
A lot of headlights steer with the car, the can bus is a giant network without any authentication.
