6 year old article in dutch [1] about Zoraya (the woman in question) already back then planning her premature death:
> She claims the right to a dignified ending: euthanasia. "You can buy a rope, you climb up an apartment and a train also runs. But why is it made so difficult for us? Why do you have to be 75 before you have a completed life? Say that maybe we can get better? That's what you say not even against a cancer patient who has completed treatment."
Rough read. Jesus.

Hm, no major cloud provider offers intel gpus.
I've owned 3 phones starting with nexus iirc. Looking forward to getting a refresh when current one gives out.

My guess is "total comp 0".
Blind has a culture that somewhat turned into a meme that any post should be accompanied by you disclosing your total comp at the bottom of the post.
To the original poster: if you're in the EU I can see if I have anything in my network to help you get some interviews. Feel free to reach out.
Add me too please. Good initiative.

Seems like the best way to get attention from a Googler to have a look at this is to post on HN so here we go...For over a week I've been getting these types of obviously scam giveaway ads where they claim Elon or Vitalik (Ethereum founder) is running a crypto giveaway to increase adoption asking to deposit crypto to some address.Interestingly enough I only get these on my smart tv (is it...
Brace yourselves for more stories like these.
Recently I got served a youtube add for a dapps (distributed apps) development workshop where the instructor went something like "learn how to create financial apps without any prior experience in just X days/weeks/months!!!".
If crypto and decentralized finance is going to make good on the promise of democratizing finance then we have a bumpy road ahead of us. I'm still optimistic that in the end this will lead to a greater good, but there will be casualties while we work out the kinks.
What are your thoughts on daily stand-ups and scrums with fully remote teams with different chronotypes. Does that work for you guys?

What bothers you about dynamodb streams specifically?

Hey thanks for the details, riadd! I wrote a HTML5 browser game in coffeescript several years ago and I share your analysis: I would skip CS and use modern JS for a greenfield project today.
Care to elaborate about the marketing side? How did you manage to get this amount of sales? Did you get any support from Steam on that front? Thanks!

>“It’s physically impossible,” he says.
>The list goes on.
The sql query that generated all those fake listens shouldn't have passed QA. /s

From my anecdotal evidence I see that sleep robustness can be strongly shaped by conditioning when we're younger.
Ex: having your children sleep in bedrooms with open doors with a dim light source on will make them into one of those "I sleep through everything" sleepers.
Curious to hear other people's experience.

I've used Django Rest Framework a few times:
http://www.django-rest-framework.org/It comes with alot of nice to haves out of the box (auth, an admin backend, browsable api...) . Built on top of Django of course so there's some overhead there.
I wouldn't use it if high performance is top priority above all else.

Would like to echo this request.
Had to implement a micro-service architecture in python about a year ago and was jealous of my Java colleagues who (so I heard) have great ecosystem for enterprise service discovery, messaging etc.
Really enjoy reading posts like these and like the "Let's write a simple interpreter" series [0]
I should man up and do a series on writing a relational db (know nothing about DB design).

Pleasantly surprised to see Ramit Sethi's name pop up in the article. I've watched some of his 'Find your dream job' videos on youtube and the advice there was solid and yielded results first time I applied them in salary/job negotiation situations.
disclaimer: I work on a wal-related project for a TLD
Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Projects like the WAL actually do help prevent the spread of malicious sites. Some TLD registries go into great length to ensure that the identity of their registrants is valid (address, phone, email).
Valid whois data is a necessity when processing some of these cases (from a legal point of view). I see this in practice every day.
The potential burden for the majority of domain owners (those who don't plan to do anything illegal with their little piece of internet real estate) is undeniably an issue, but projects like WAL have very real merit for the internet as a whole.
Colour me interested. I'm arriving a day earlier anyway.
Aaaand its back up. Looking forward to the post-mortem.
Down for me in Belgium, correct.
The interesting question is in which industries will we see the first Twilios, Stripes and Clevers for hardware? Home automation? Cars? Health?
