Does anyone use it for family photo backup for generation to pass on? I am struggling to come up with a good back up solution that last ages.

Show HN: Wordchipper – Rust BPE tokenizer, 9x faster than tiktoken
Hey HN,We're ZSpaceLabs, Burn framework contributors working to make Rust a first-class AI/ML stack. We just released wordchipper, a Rust-native BPE tokenizer for the OpenAI GPT-2 tokenizer family (r50k, cl100k, o200k). On a 64-core machine with the o200k vocab (GPT-4o / GPT-5 tokenizer), we measured 2.4 GiB/s, about 9.2× faster than tiktoken-rs. Through the Python bindings it is typically 2–4×...

Anthropic saying they want "stronger" requirements is easy when you're helping write them. The tell is that they're endorsing a bill that just happens to match what they're already doing - classic regulatory capture where industry turns their business model into law and calls it "safety."
Re:What Is the Fourier Transform?
on Thursday September 04, 2025 @08:48PM (#45133886)
I think the best explanation and understanding I received about Fourier Transform was from studying linear algebra.
The Fourier Transform equation essentially maps a signal from the time domain onto orthogonal complex sinusoidal basis functions through projection.
And the article does not even mention this. =)
