Show HN: A life calendar to remind us how much time we have left to live

https://www.lifeisshort.fyi/

I’ve always been amazed by how short life is. But the thing is, it’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day — work, deadlines, chores — and forget that time is quietly slipping by.So I built this little thing. It shows your life in weeks — how many you’ve lived, and how many (roughly) you might have left. For me, it’s a daily reminder to zoom out, reflect on my choices, and not take time for...

Hi, I'm also building a Todolist app with an AI that prioritizes tasks based on urgency, importance & bugs you until you finish :) I go a step further to integrate information sources into it like emails, slack, notes etc cause managing information is also a struggle for me Feel free to check it out at https://saner.ai/
Re:Ask HN: What is your default notes app? on Saturday January 18, 2025 @11:06PM (#42753477)
Yes, we are about to release a mobile app in the next few days Desktop app is in the roadmap too
Re:Ask HN: What is your default notes app? on Friday January 17, 2025 @10:29PM (#42745560)
I use the one that I built https://saner.ai/

I still use pen and paper if I want to visualize or brainstorm something (really helpful)

I use my app + Excel for project management + one sec to reduce social media time

Break things down is ok, but not necessary

Half of my notes originate from the web

Re: on Thursday January 16, 2025 @10:10PM (#42733693)
It took me months to collect these 300 directories, community sites, deal platforms, and affiliate pages.

Each site includes:

- Monthly traffic stats.

- Info on whether it's free or paid.

- Other notes

These sites helped me:

- Promote my business to new audiences.

- Boost my Domain Rating with backlinks.

I’m sharing this list because I know how tough the founder’s journey can be and hope that this will make your life a bit easier :)

All the best guys

Struggling with info all over the place as well I'm using AI to search for info in my notes at https://saner.ai/ Eating my own dog food here lol but it works Preparing to add todo list into the app as well
Re:What is your bet in 2025? on Monday December 30, 2024 @03:57AM (#42547692)
I’m betting on an AI brain/assistant for individuals. My info is all over the place - blogs, newsletters, articles, emails, slack, tasks. I think the amount of information will surely grow, along with the overwhelm

That’s why I’m putting my bet on building a product that helps manage it all better called Saner.AI

Re:What is your bet in 2025? on Monday December 30, 2024 @02:14AM (#42547241)
good one
I'm a startup founder, we are a small team and I personally use LLMs a lot for marketing and research. From chatgpt, perplexity to my own tool -> mainly to research, recall ideas, refine writing

If I don't have these tools, I think I might have to hire a person to help me with, so the saving would be one headcount i guess

Re:Richard Branson, ADHD Billionaire, on how to be productive on Monday November 25, 2024 @01:46AM (#42233835)
I’ve spent hours reading Richard Branson’s blog the billionaire behind Virgin Group, with over 400 companies. I got curious about how he manages, deals with his tasks, and stays productive with ADHD.

So here's my summary of his approach to being productive while managing his humongous work

Hope this is helpful :)

Re:Favourite AI Assistant App? on Monday October 21, 2024 @10:19AM (#41904463)
Been using the tool I built as an assistant :) of course, it's great for me for knowledge management & retrieval https://saner.ai/
Re:Ask HN: How did you improve your ability to do deep work? on Wednesday October 09, 2024 @04:49AM (#41785808)
I keep things simple by setting aside blocks of time to focus on just one task, and I avoid checking emails or messages during that period. Another big help has been reducing context switching ie switching between different apps/screen - I found it not effective for deep work at all A tool like https://saner.ai/ can help extract information faster without having to switch around many apps which increasing context switching
Re:Notion's Midlife Crisis on Sunday September 29, 2024 @12:37AM (#41684956)
I started as a Notion user, but then it gets complicated and overwhelming quickly. It can be a good database and beautiful system, but for individual use cases, it’s too much for ADHD. I tried to use Apple Notes and Docs from then, but with too many notes, insights get buried and cannot be found easily. So I built an AI note app called saner.ai since & it worked better for me at least.
Re:Your "second brain" on steroids? NotebookLM by Google on Wednesday September 25, 2024 @11:16PM (#41654194)
It would be great if you could check out Saner.AI - an AI Note app I'm building with more note & AI capabilities :)
Re: on Thursday September 19, 2024 @09:51AM (#41591836)
I remember how tricky it was when I first started doing user interviews, so I thought sharing some interview templates might be helpful for other founders

The goals of an interview are different depending on what you’re exploring. For me, these chats focused on understanding user struggles and needs.

My template is built from a combination of insights from:

1) A must-read for user interviews: The Mom Test by Rob Fitzpatrick. It shows you how to uncover user needs with as little bias as possible.

2) Another great read: Demand-Side Sales 101 by Bob Moesta & Greg Engle. It helps you understand the user's “job to be done,” so you can align your product and messaging with their needs.

3) Other newsletters, and blogs I came across

So here's the template that guided me through 200+ interviews.

P/s: I’d love to hear your thoughts or feedback —feel free to drop a comment!

Re:Muse Retrospective on Tuesday May 14, 2024 @11:14PM (#40362710)
This is interesting and helpful! Thanks a lot for sharing.

I'm building an AI Note app focusing on ADHDer and find that this resonates well:

> We were too unfocused in our target market, and ended up as an “everything app.”

I'm still trying to find traction and the specific use cases for it but not sure whether it's clear enough. Would be great if you can have a look on the app and share your thoughts - https://saner.ai/
