I think this is largely an issue with X rather than users wanting to show off, I think wayland (while not perfect) can really help with developing easy to use desktop enviroments.
Also not everybody who uses "complicated" setups care about "leetness", personally I use i3 (and alot of mods, customizations) because nothing compares to the ease of use + functionality for me.
I personally want more linux desktop adoption, Ive switched my parents over, trying to convert my brother.

Great Job!
But in all seriousness 4chan and other sites tend to react very fast, was there any manipulation going on or was it just that they where getting picked up due to high initial activity?

the templates rendered. There is a singular state, because data flow is one directional. mutating properties is an anti-pattern in vue.

We need to take a ground up approach to solving this, get open infrastructure into the community and build local isps. Over time replace our broken network with a new generation.

I think its a generational thing. Im 26 years old. Portability is extremely valuable to me, I use different operating systems constantly. Older devs may see portability as being less important if they spent most of their working lives in one environment. That being said, im still trying to learn, so there are valid points to take away from on both sides of the issue.
