My only complaint to dots is that why their mascots are looking the same as grok bot
Re:GPT 6.1 Sol: Near-Astra intelligence for a fifth of the price on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @01:17PM (#49896782)
Cache is priced at $0.1/M, 50% as sol 6 and sonnet 5.5.
Re:Sonnet 5.5 System Card [pdf] on Monday September 28, 2026 @02:07PM (#49881976)
Unbelievable. Sonnet 5.5 max is performing better than opus 5.5
Re:Claude Opus 5.5 on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @12:47PM (#49804230)
60% cache read is cool, but subscription only get 25% more according to Cat. I'm confused
Re:Claude Opus 5.5 on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @12:38PM (#49804051)
$0.20 vs the old $0.5 cache read is pretty much 60% off
Re:OpenAI begins rolling out GPT-6 Astra on Thursday September 03, 2026 @02:30PM (#49554489)
"Once it is available in the API, Astra will cost $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. That is 2.5 times Sol’s current promotional price, although it matches Anthropic’s pricing for Fable 5.1."

Open AI finally find an edge to stop selling cheap and earn from the high demand customer like Anthropic

Re:Advancing the price-performance frontier with GPT‑5.6 on Thursday July 30, 2026 @01:49PM (#49113296)
Basically lunar at extra level can cover all use cases scenarios other than those requiring opus up. Goodbye sonnet and haiku
These models don't take claude.md, Claude Code does, and claude.md still get fed to these models if you're using Claude Code.

That said, prompting on opus 5 needs new technique: https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/build-with-claude/prompt...

Re:Claude Opus 5 on Friday July 24, 2026 @01:31PM (#49039017)
Also the cost per task. It appears to be significantly cheaper, cheaper than sonnet!
Re:Claude Opus 5 on Friday July 24, 2026 @01:02PM (#49038517)
What really impress me is opus 5 is better in alignment than fable 5!

here we go
It was almost from no more access to frontier models to having too much access in the past hours
