Turns out "lent" is actually the past tense of "lend". Not sure where my head was this afternoon.
I've heard "lent" but never "lended".
"I lent a pen off him", "he lent me a pen". Could be a Northern thing though.
Even the install is a mishmash of voodoo and arcane knowledge. Horrible horrible thing.
Stuns me that someone thought this would be a good idea.
Oh hey my free USB device helpfully made me go to a webpage without warning and without permission, these guys are wizards and deserve my custom.
Pedantic, but that's not a TRS connection.
It'd be perfect if the Z-index updated for card last selected. It looks like they're z-indexed in a specific order at the moment?
She wanted to encourage competition, but that competition never arrived, so we still have a shit infrastructure and an ineffective monopoly essentially?
Or if we want to go really outrageous, a division of BT still controlling literally
every new home install of telephone lines, often with engineers not turning up, or not being trained to do the job they've been sent to!
(As above, this is actually the case. )
Lucky they nipped that one in the bud, eh?
Maybe someone can explain the decision in principle to me here, because I don't understand how the deliberate retardation of network infrastructure is beneficial to encouraging competition.
I get that the entry costs to the market would be higher for a new start up, but that seems irrelevant given the target competitors, and a silly bloody way of doing it anyway. But I'm genuinely curious to hear the other side of it?

Personal opinion of course, but even if you don't like The Oatmeal, a comparison to Buzzfeed isn't really appropriate, they're very different animals. One's a comic written, drawn and published by a guy, the other is a couple of lists interspersed with gifs, then lazily rehashed weeks later.
That's a very odd question to ask.
I mentioned a distaste for him, not any sort of active upset. Kim Jong Un (deliberately avoiding reductio ad hitlerum) has done nothing to me personally, and I have to say I'm not a fan.
Edit: I don't like the way he treat his friends, family, staff or even applicants, details you can get by reading the biographies or watching the documentaries as I've said before.
I'd suggest reading any of his biographies or watching Pirates of Silicon Valley. My problem is not with Apple at all, it's with the man himself.
I have absolutely no love for the man, but he had some amazing visions of the future back then.
It was a light hearted comment from the outside perspective, not a genuine accusation of mental health problems ;) Cycling in the Netherlands is actually lovely. Flat land, well maintained cycle paths, and beautiful countryside. Plus the thighs! My word!
I love the Netherlands, but cyclists there are absolutely crazy, and in incredible quantities.
Of course, it doesn't help that I'm blind on my left side and the only Dutch I know is "Sorry, ik sprek gein Nederlands".
Wouldn't there be a comma if he was sitting in the kitchen?
Isn't there an old adage as well, "don't end a sentence with a preposition"?
edit: Apparently that's an old wives tale, the preposition one.
It would ruin the point of the bot a bit if it was only entering local, claimable competitions wouldn't it? Hugely localising the data it's gathering.
I was in a bit of a mood with it when I commented, but for good reason. A couple of the problems I've had :-
When the battery drained, it refused to boot past the "cyanogen" boot screen. Twice. A common problem that required a factory reset.
Would say it's charged to 100%, until the moment the USB was removed and it instantly went to 4%. Every time, no matter whether it had been drained, or charged when turned on/off. Again, factory reset fixed it.
Wont vibrate more than once with the OnePlus official flip cover when calls are incoming on silent mode.
WhatsApp vibrations cant be turned off since CM12 upgrade.
Doesn't do 4G in Europe. There's probably a carrier whom it does work with, but from my last bit of research there isn't in the UK. Perhaps Three though.
I've used CM happily on other handsets, and encountered far fewer and far less frustrating. However if you're marketing a phone specifically to be used with CM, I'd expect a lot more QA to be put into it. If you're happy with a "hackable" phone and you're willing to put up with missing calls, disappearing notifications, private lock screen notifications showing message contents still, then it's not a bad way to waste £300, but I want a reliable phone I dont have to fight with, so I'm sacking it off very soon.
If it's anything like the Oneplus One it's a buggy ill supported piece of crap.
