Re:GLM-Legal: Advancing Agentic Legal Intelligence on Monday October 12, 2026 @01:30PM (#50059799)
Why don’t I lose all legal privs when I hook up my email to these third party services
Maybe but I’d argue the frontier corps will self destruct via green annd product management enough to make this impractical. So far here’s how I see that going 1) can’t easily autopilot due to security. Ganna keep on prompting you into running weird shell commands 2) it’ll launch your code on weird Anthropic or ChatGPT sites behind a paywall 3) between the two of them it’ll Misalign the solution so it’s unusable
I used to use pfsense and openwrt and stuff but now with Claude I just use a custom Linux distribution running on a dell 2u. That being said I have 25 gbps of internet across 5 internet providers (puerto Rico) and that plugs into my internal home network running at 2x 25 gbps . So for savings it’s like two quad 10 gbps cards. I’ve found substantial speed advantages via consumer hardware considering the cross sectional bandwidth is like 70 gbps
Re:Nobel Peace Prize for 2026 to Navanethem "NAVI" Pillay on Friday October 09, 2026 @08:44AM (#50019694)
I obviously think my wife should have won, but at least she won the greatest award, an aaron sorkin movie
Re:OpenAI Withdraws 3 Math Papers on Thursday October 08, 2026 @01:47PM (#50009208)
Is math a thriving community?
Re:Nobel Prize in Physics goes to Francis Halzen on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @06:07PM (#49984815)
My wife is Frances Haugen, I almost thought her 30 minutes of fame became 45
Half the people downvote cause they know it’s from animals. Other people know it was a lab leak. Meanwhile I get downvoted by saying the evidence doesn’t prove anything or people would be shouting it from the hills note I have no dog in this race , just pointing out there’s uncertainty
Re:AI's 'Thought' Process Can No Longer Be Trusted on Monday October 05, 2026 @12:49PM (#49967288)
Sure , but maybe don’t accelerate it
They don’t disagree. They don’t know. They just said what’s most likely. They don’t even give a %
I get downvoted every time I say this but the evidence doesn’t even prove it started in wuhan, or even China. It could of easily been brought here by the military games that happened before that
Re:AI's 'Thought' Process Can No Longer Be Trusted on Sunday October 04, 2026 @08:57AM (#49953528)
stop teaching these models to hide, cheat and lie to make money please. I thought OpenAI was a non profit, or benefit company, not a doomesday corp
Re:Federal judge calls Flock 'indiscriminate mass surveillance' on Saturday October 03, 2026 @07:10PM (#49948694)
I think i'm like the last person who's still defending flock. This is as a result of living with very small women for years who were constantly attacked in the streets. This basically ended with surveillance. That being said, I would prefer actual police on every block with crime.

Note I have a Tesla powerwall at home. They installed it inside before I bought the house. I always wonder what happens when these things catch fire
I’ve worked for a few satellite companies. Nothing that Google or SpaceX suggested should be surprising.
Re:The internet discovers TLA+. Now what? on Sunday September 27, 2026 @09:20AM (#49866458)
I did a lot of distsys work With tla+. I still think it’s the best use. It’s really hard to make sure your code matches what you prove.

Re:Back and shoulder surgery is often worse than useless on Saturday September 26, 2026 @11:02AM (#49857251)
Any evidence then?
Why is it different. I don't understand at all. I thought this was all shown to not be needed since even before we did it at planetlabs
It truely amazes me how much smarter sceptical posters on hackernews are vs google, spacex , china and the whole space industry.
At planet we didn't have any radiation shielding. Why would spacex need it?
Re:Back and shoulder surgery is often worse than useless on Thursday September 24, 2026 @08:49PM (#49838853)
There’s no evidence that Covid started in wuhan. The wet market was ruled out.
People want to put ai in space to hook them to sensors and predict . Checkout project Merlin
But more and more Ukraine is using long range drones guided by SpaceX
This has all been covered over and over again. It’s actually not that big of a deal
I don’t see how America or Google remain relevant unless SpaceX succeeds .
Is your claim sel4 hasn’t had a ton of vulnerabilities? Because a quick google search shows hundreds
If it wasn’t broken I wouldn’t mind
oh tell me about it apnewman.com. I'm nearly up to 100
