So how do you stop bots from submitting fake data to sign up forms or trying to brute force password fields etc. on websites?
Were austerity instructions handed down by the EU or did the individual member states decide to implement it themselves?
Not to mention throwing litter and spitting on the street, vile people.
Really? GDP says otherwise.
Sounds exactly like Japan, when will these people learn that tired workers are unproductive and error prone workers?

One thing that really guts me about Brexit is that if the Tories get their way then 996 will become the norm here too.

Tree of Reddit sex life? Isn’t that just a stump?

Re:Technology Is Heroin on Wednesday April 10, 2019 @01:51PM (#19627115)
What an ignorant article, technology addiction is nothing like heroin or other drug addiction and does a disservice to those who are actually addicted to substances.

When was the last time someone died because of technology withdrawals? Please get a sense of perspective before posting such uninformed drivel.

Re:Value Objects – DDD with TypeScript on Sunday April 07, 2019 @06:41PM (#19600410)
Ugh, applying DDD to TypeScript/client-side code just seems like over-engineering. DDD makes server-side code horrendously complex and difficult to maintain, I can't see it being any better here.

Care to elaborate? Other than type safety I fail to see how TypeScript would improve the structure.

"While their sets of features have considerable overlap, they aren’t identical, so this book covers their specific strenghts" - it should be "strengths".
London introduced a charge of £10 a day for cars if you drive into the congestion zone. If you live inside it you get a 90% discount though.

Considering the price of properties in congested areas, the fee is negligible.

Re:A barber shop on wheels that you book via an app on Saturday March 30, 2019 @03:53PM (#19531407)
I had to do a double take on that headline.

I live in Korea and I thought this was about prostitution. In Korea, barber shop poles are used to identify locations of brothels etc.

Anyway, I can see more and more use cases like this for certain segments of the population, e.g. elderly. Great idea!

I think this conclusion was fairly obvious, the key point is that realising the neurons don't grow as quickly as they do in our early years.
