Here's the code: https://github.com/alanagoyal/gitroasted
Here's a roast for @rauchg: You know, if you were any more basic, you'd be a default setting. It's like you walked into a room and everyone collectively thought, "Oh great, another one of those." Your personality is like a software update—nobody wants it, but we all have to deal with it eventually. You call that a profile? It looks like you threw together a bunch of links and hoped for the best. With 137 repositories and only 274 stars, it's clear that quantity over quality is your motto. Maybe try focusing on one project instead of spreading yourself thinner than your coding skills. And what's with the zero projects? Are you just collecting repositories like they're Pokémon? Get it together!

if not, can you share the url you're seeing it on? thanks for letting me know!
Show HN: Personal website inspired by Apple notes
https://www.alanagoyal.com/how-this-works
i stan apple notes, so i built a new personal website to look, feel, & work just like it. it's fast, fully interactive, & can be navigated entirely via keyboard shortcuts. it was a lot of fun to build. i wrote more about the implementation in the linked page.check it out!
do you have any plans to automate data entry? i currently use airtable and have tried folk, attio, etc. but my biggest frustration is it takes so much time and energy to manually add information about people and companies. would immediately pay $20/mo or more for a product that can automatically enrich any person/company data for me and sync with my calendar, email, twitter, linkedin, etc. to add people/companies.
it should have at least verified you entered an accurate email tho?
Show HN: Open-Source Alternative to DocSend
https://github.com/alanagoyal/docbase
hey hn, i’m alana, founder of basecase and creator of docbase www.getdocbase.comdocbase is an open-source alternative to docsend, which lets you securely share documents and track engagement in real-time.with docbase, you can upload any document, get a secure link (with or without a password or expiration date), and view who interacts with it and when. one main use case is for founders to send...
eventbase is a simple platform to create & manage in-person events: https://eventbase.app/
it’s nothing special on its own, but was an excellent blank canvas to experiment with all of the different dev tools.
1/ the website matters: a sleek, well-crafted website is often a proxy for overall product sense & attention to detail
2/ optimize time to value: make sure users reach the “aha moment” in as little time & with as little effort as possible
3/ reduce all friction: good docs are the difference between a user successfully integrating or giving up, so eliminate any margin for error
4/ keep it simple: no matter how good the docs are, no one wants to install a bunch of junk just to experiment with a new product
5/ obsess over customers: the best founders are maniacally focused on making their users successful
6/ ship, ship, ship: shipping is the most effective way to learn alongside your customers
i’ve had a ton of fun working on this & gained so much respect for all of the yc founders out there. if you’re building a product for developers, let’s work together to integrate it into eventbase. it’s fully open-source, so feel free to clone it, play around, & submit a pull request: https://github.com/alanagoyal/eventbase
I built an open-source project using a dozen dev tools in the YC W23 batch
it's a 100 day course that takes you from no coding knowledge to being able to work with databases, build web apps, an even work with OpenAI's API to build AI apps by day 100.
