What do top retention numbers look like in 2020 for top mobile apps?
Whatever brings some joy, it's the signal.
Very fun. Huge potential if turned into a product.
The point is the productand therefore the revenue is scalable. Much more than a salary in a 9-5 job.
I think the optimal solution is to be able to alternate between the last 3 ones.
Agree, how do you plan to go about it as a developer (I presume)?
minecraft is written in Java I believe.
Because I absolutely love Kotlin and I feel I'm much more productive with it. I have a hard time working with script languages and feel confident on my code nowadays.
Also, Kotlin let you use tons of java libraries.
My goal is to make a full kotlin android/iOS/backend game with shared business logic. How fare are wew from that?
I can attest to this. Karma is indeed a thing it seems!
Thanks! Needless to say, we used to play a lot of Pokemon in our youth...

Following the Google Maps April's fool and seeing the reaction around it, I feel the need to post about our app: Mobbles ( http://www.mobbles.com )In a nutshell, it's Google Maps + Pokemon + tamagotchisIt's a real-life creature hunting. Once caught, you'll need to take care of your creatures (like Tamagotchis), you can then trade/fight them with your friends! Some creatures are only catchable in...
Shameless plug, but I'm working on a similar mobile game : Mobbles (Our tagline is actually Google Maps + Pokemon)
http://www.mobbles.comI'm not that unhappy it's an April fool ;)
Great article. I'm very surprised and disappointed by this news. I was hoping it would set an example for the European ecosystem.
We actually got accepted into their program but decided to join another incubator instead. The amount of equity they would take upfront was quite big if I remember well.

I identified a problem that I have and want to solve it.I have a hard time making sure I reply to every single email where a reply is needed. I tend not to reply emails when I'm programming and "in the zone", therefore I often have to wait before replying.I'm using gmail. Does anyone have a technique/software/methodology to make sure I reply every single email on time ?

Since the Nexus S is equipped with NFC. I'm curious if anyone has fun/interesting ideas using this technology, other than payment/ticketing. I'm thinking about how to use those smart tags.
The functionality is quite similar to QR Codes, except that the user experience is completely different and way more instinctive, and the content on NFC smart tags can be modified.I know there must be obvious...
I'm embarrassed by the ones I've been working on for a long time but never released. Not by the ones that I did release but failed to gain any traction.

Hi,<p>Here is the deal I'm confronted to :<p>- Start my own startup : I have 5K in the bank, a cofounder from school I have worked with with who i'm confident I can build something great with. We don't have a solid idea of a product we both feel passionate enough to devote ourselves fulltime, but then again I keep reading it's not about the idea but about the execution, then should...
Are applications developed with the current version of FlashCS5 now allowed ?
Thank you for putting all this material, extremely useful for those who can't attend the founder conference in person. Those speakers are excellent and their concise ( brutal? ) way of putting things always leave me more energized.
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but : are smartphones ( iPhone/Blackberry/Android...) popular in Chile ? It could be useful to know for entrepreneurs targeting mobile products.
I like to know about the time when their business didn't have any traction yet. What was their business like during the first days/weeks. And if the company became successful, what elements made them gain traction ( who did you meet ? How did you approach the first customers ? Who did the first sale ? how ?)
I'd be very interested in knowing more about your experience in Paris. As a French who has grown up in Paris but wants to start a startup, I'd like to know if I should leave and try the adventure somewhere else.
Is it a choice you had to do yourself as well ?
