But it still takes the attention back to the computer.
37 Signals' products: http://www.37signals.com/ But i'm not sure if free versions support 6-7 people.

Ask HN: How do you manage new feature requests for your application?

Basically, what i'm planning to do is to include a minimal number of features in my application, partially because of the 'do less' thing and actually, because i'm not very sure of what path the app should take in future; so i want the users to define what should be added next.So i was wondering what would be a good way to collect users' reactions and requests? Should i just have a feedback...

Ask HN: What's better: Having multiple side projects; or devoting all time to one single app? Which has better chance of bringing in more revenues?

pg, what is your opinion on starting something on the lines of startup school in international locations?
Re:Calling Y Combinator - need for YC in other countries on Sunday March 30, 2008 @12:48PM (#150211)
yeah, i agree. if setting up seed funding is too complicated, starting regular meets or something like startup school will still be very beneficial. In fact, that will help more than hard cash.

Apart from infrastructure, a community like this is also non-existent. As they say, this business is based as much on who you know as what you know. But nevertheless, i'll try to make up for that by following YC-news (and putting things in Indian context). The opportunities for growth in India is HUGE, especially now with overall improvement in infrastructure and growing number of internet users.

Thank you. I'll be posting the progress on my blog. Currently i'm dabbling with a couple of ideas. Nothing grand; small ideas that might just work. I will take some time to refine them before i pick one and proceed.

yeah.. i can already smell it :)
Re:Ask YC: quitting job and starting a startup on Friday March 21, 2008 @05:29AM (#142333)
getting a co-founder turned out to be a problem actually. though most of my friends appreciated the idea/effort, none is actually willing to give up the security of well-paying jobs to come work on a startup. PS: i'm in India. and startups have not really caught on as well here as they have in US.
Re:Ask YC: quitting job and starting a startup on Friday March 21, 2008 @05:25AM (#142329)
i guess those voices will fade away as i start getting busier with the startup :)
Re:Ask YC: quitting job and starting a startup on Friday March 21, 2008 @05:24AM (#142327)
well i'm not worried about quitting the job. its 'doing the startup' well part. i have a couple of ideas and not too afraid to fail either. its just that sometimes these voices at the back of my mind keep telling me otherwise :)

Ask YC: quitting job and starting a startup

i'm in the process of quitting my (money-wise: decent, work-wise: crap) job and starting a startup. But i don't feel as confident as i'd like me to believe... i was wondering if this is normal or i'm, in fact, not ready to start a startup yet?

i have in fact decided to do the same thing. Though i decided to quit about a couple weeks ago, i'm taking some more time to sort things out before i actually quit. Its nice to see you do that.. puts different voices in the back of my head to rest.
