Re:A Clone of Deluxe Paint II Written in Python on Thursday July 25, 2024 @10:14PM (#41075308)
Interesting. Looks like it's written as a register value for BLTCON0 (in BLITOPS.C) http://www.amigadev.elowar.com/read/ADCD_2.1/Hardware_Manual...
Re:Why I will never buy another Samsung device on Monday February 21, 2022 @11:54PM (#30424132)
FWIW my Pixel 4 is still going strong, haven't even thought of getting a replacement. My partner is on the previous Pixel 3 (released October 2018) and no complaints there either.

Check out https://useful-forks.github.io/ if you haven't seen it, agree it'd be great to have this kind of thing a lot more visible particularly on repos with no commits for like 6+ months or something.
Re:NymphCast – Open-source Chromecast Alternative on Saturday June 12, 2021 @06:52AM (#27483516)
Will we? Seems like it's an entirely different protocol from Google Cast?
A lot of twitter permissions, perhaps worth explaining why you need all this and/or reduce them?

This application will be able to:

See Tweets from your timeline (including protected Tweets) as well as your Lists and collections. See your Twitter profile information and account settings. See accounts you follow, mute, and block. See your email address.

Funny how COVID-19 has changed all that.
Not sure how you imagine push notifications to work, but literally Google provide a "service" for this so app developers don't have to. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firebase_Cloud_Messaging
Re:Tell HN: Never search for domains on Godaddy.com on Thursday September 17, 2020 @05:15PM (#24510054)
Buying a domain is not the same as hosting the DNS for that domain.
Looks like that was yet another joke.
Let us know when you do something even half as impressive.
He ate it with the skin on, too.
Do they release the source of the webservice? Seemingly not. This is extremely shady.

How would a screen reader work with the ASCII art of RFCs? https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc793#section-3.1

It's fine to have that way of editing as an option or an easter egg but, to have it as the only way of editing a message? No. Just no.
No, it doesn't. Standard copyright applies if there is no licence.

GitHub user agreement allows other users to view and make copies of your content on github but not for "free use" in general.

Re:“Ghost in the Shell - Remake” on Monday April 24, 2017 @07:21AM (#14183367)
Tl;dr: both work. From the ssh_config man page:

Configuration options may be separated by whitespace or
optional whitespace and exactly one `='; the latter format
is useful to avoid the need to quote whitespace when
specifying configuration options using the ssh, scp, and
  sftp -o option.
Re:Future of Java 8 Language Feature Support on Android on Wednesday March 15, 2017 @12:18AM (#13873777)
When they say "into the current javac and dx set of tools" what are they meaning there? How will they do that exactly? I thought the whole rationale for Jack was it was a clean break from Sun / Oracle Java and entirely open source.
Re:Twitter is down on Tuesday February 07, 2017 @08:22PM (#13594834)
I never want this. Why would I mess up my beautiful high resolution screen with fingerprints?
