Ask HN: Agents for coding feels like a L2 automation system. Yay/Nay?

If I need to play flappy bird with these agents to get code that's maintainable and avoid validating the entire app/product e2e what's the point? So I plan the route get the car to the highway and engage the agent and still keep an eye out for a white truck that blends into the sky to avoid crashes. Why is there a ton of hype? Isn't this gated by human computer bandwidth?

Tests are a way to write your logic twice (once for the code and once during the assertions) with the assumption that you're unlikely to make the same mistake twice.

Integration tests are better replaced by something like contract testing IMO to still retain the test parallelism.
