What tech companies have external referral programs?
I'm curious why this isn't more prevalent, given that it is so difficult to hire right now.

Why did no one go to prison for the tech hiring antitrust case in 2010?
I am not familiar with antitrust law, but it seems very surprising that no one was punished more (e.g. Eric Schmidt). Obviously if you have money you can get away with more but I was curious if there was any legal reason they got away without prison time.
Ask HN: Best practices for hiring software contractors?
I'm interested in any guide to this - what I need in the contract, how to protect myself, how to find good contractors, etc.

"During this outbreak, Muyembe has also made a decision many thought unthinkable even a few years ago. He decided that all of the blood samples collected during this Ebola epidemic will stay in Congo. Anyone who wants to study this outbreak will have to come to his institute." not sure if this is a good idea

They should put a lot of money into improving the touchpad experience for Linux. I bet that for many people that is the last sticking point to moving from a Macbook.

The owner of this channel https://www.youtube.com/user/KazeBG0 makes great fan games for N64, regularly adding in additional behavior not found in the parent games - e.g. adding new super powers to Mario 64. Pretty impressive stuff.
