Reminded me of a similar story at openSSH, wonderfully documented in a "Veritasium" episode, which was just fascinating to watch/listen.

Re:Prompt Repetition Improves Non-Reasoning LLMs on Thursday February 26, 2026 @03:10PM (#47171399)
"When not using reasoning, repeating the input prompt improves performance for popular models (Gemini, GPT, Claude, and Deepseek) without increasing the number of generated tokens or latency."
Really impressed with how Finland is "arming" the public with the tools to combat misinformation: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jan/28/fact-from-fict...

Hint: They start real early.

Also this (from article) : "Fake news, Kivinen said, is not a great term, especially for children. Far more useful are three distinct categories: misinformation, or “mistakes”; disinformation, or “lies” and “hoaxes”, which are false and spread deliberately to deceive; and malinformation, or “gossip”, which may perhaps be correct but is intended to harm."

Re:An AI designed keyboard layout (2021) on Friday March 18, 2022 @11:58AM (#30723856)
Something I was developing on my spare time :) : https://github.com/aj0y/fitjoy

The main difference with other layouts is that I take finger length into account. (Eg. the pinky is usually much shorter than your ring finger, so putting them all on the same row means your ring finger need to curl up more and less relaxed). Also tried to reduce changes to the most common shortcuts we (programmers) use.

Feedback welcome!

Show HN: Fitjoy – A more efficient keyboard layout I came up with

Hi HN,I've been trying to improve my typing efficiency for a while and tried out various keyboard layouts like Dvorak, Colemak, Workman etc., but none really hit the spot. All the existing layouts assume the home/middle row is the best/easiest to reach. But, this is not necessarily true. The home row assumes all the fingers are of almost equal length, but thats not the case. In the standard...

I think we have to consider the possibility (most likely), that the advanced versions of these lifeforms are much further along the evolutionary tree than we are. They might have evolved like us, but continued evolving and now look nothing like us.
Great work!

FYI, your "Team" link in the footer is not loading properly.

Interesting counter-point. Thanks!
Cool. I think I have seen it on commercial flat rooftops. Haven't seen it on residential roofs.
Tesla's solar tiles is a good start. Alternatively, a tile that can be switched between white in summer and black in winter would be ideal.
Never heard of foam roofing. Sounds like a great idea!
Wonder if its more than just brand. Eg.https://www.chobachoba.com/direct-from-our-farms/. They ship the ferment and dry the beans, but then it gets shipped to Switzerland to be made into chocolate.

Similarly Belgian chocolate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgian_chocolate) has also developed into a brand.

wow! looks great!
We (The Factual: https://www.thefactual.com) have been trying to solve this issue.

Our tech ingests articles from different publishers, groups them into topics based on the story they are covering, then analyze and score them based on how informative they are and present curated articles as best perspectives from left/right/center.

All of this automated and running continuously on our website : https://www.thefactual.com/news and also in our app : iOS (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-factual/id1537259360) and Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=group.thefactu...)

Do check us out.

Assigning a person a label of right or left or center is too simplistic. People are more complex. Their preferences are tied to issues. For each issue, every person might have a tilt/preference and they may not always tilt in one direction on all issues.
