Re:Ask HN: Building a tool to ensure things get done on time on Friday January 02, 2026 @01:55AM (#46462139)
Youtube is filled with content from people who've used Claude Code to build this. Some use Claude Code to run it. A cron job initiates claude code to scan all signals and create a todo-list, action it, etc.

Search for "personal ai infra" or "claude code life os"

Might be a good starting point to get some inspiration.

[EDIT] PS: I just saw your profile and seems like you are a co-founder of a company that does exactly this? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re:Your job is to deliver code you have proven to work on Thursday December 18, 2025 @11:52AM (#46315192)
So what? as long as it conveys the point it was supposed to, should be fine IMO.

If we are accepting LLM generated code, we should accept LLM generated content as long as it is "proof read" :)

Re:Ask HN: Difficult Interview Question on Thursday September 04, 2025 @12:02AM (#45123423)
I once asked a senior developer "how will you figure out which class/method is causing the server to crash". They gave me all sorts of answers other than "i'll add appropriate log statements and check the logs".

anyone who has actually worked for a while with large data sets should be able to answer your question. but since it "sounds simple", it probably causes most folks to freeze or go onto a tangent.

Unfortunately, because of how our industry treats interviews, people "prepare" for it and that puts even good folks in the mindset of prepared answers rather than practical answers.

I’ve been fascinated (and mildly haunted) by how often MCP shows up on Hacker News.So I made themcp.buzz: a simple site that tracks how many minutes have passed since MCP was last mentioned on HN.I'm curious to know, Which MCP servers are you actually using regularly? Are you building MCP servers?

Wow! I would love to try it out whenever a demo is available.
Re:Ask HN: Cursor vs. Windsurf? on Friday March 07, 2025 @12:33PM (#43292159)
They did announce Junie. Close enough to cursor i feel. Link: https://www.jetbrains.com/junie/

But, what is stopping you from moving from Jetbrains to Cursor or the likes? AFAIK, most of the functionality can be achieved via plugins / extensions on Cursor.

Just Curious.

Vibe Coding. Use LLMs to do it for you. That's the easiest (and free) way of doing it!

They're all playing a catchup game with each other on features. Some like GH Copilot is really falling behind as of right now. I use cursor because i like how things are set up makes sense to me.

My recommendation: Try both. I mean really give them a fair chance, atleast 2 weeks. and see which one you like. Happy coding!
