This shows that there was no money to be made in their business model and they had to sell to make up for the years or losses accumulated.
Re:Why America's economy is soaring ahead of its rivals on Thursday December 05, 2024 @10:02AM (#42328873)
I would argue the opposite. If you compare US dollar to every other currency the value of their currency has decreased a lot compares to US dollar. This would be a plus to hold US dollar as their own currency has depreciated and holding more dollars has helped them reduce their losses. But it has one down side is that if you hold too much US dollar the country exposes itself to US monetary policy.

It is a public company. They pay bonus and raises using money that people invest in the stock market. A $100,000 per share company becomes $4 per share company in 4 years.
There is a theory that if your body is not exposed to enough good bacteria and other pathogens then it will build up an army to fight out non important things like pollen and peanuts. I would recommend giving kids probiotics and also not keeping environment so clean with wipes and excessive hand washing that they never get exposed to good and some bad germs.

Re:Legacy on Earth May Be a Plant on Thursday July 27, 2023 @02:30PM (#36898122)
Same can be said of Eucalyptus trees in California coast
Not sure wealth is moving out or rather people who cannot afford to live there are moving. People who are wealthy and afford to stay will stay in the coastal cities where most of the outbound migration is happening.
I feel the conclusion that vehicles are responsible for this is not the only explanation. I live in LA area and on Thanksgiving Day there were strong Santa Ana winds. Usually those winds bring dry air and have good strength to push out all of the air particles giving a clear view. I have noticed the visibility is less when it is more humid compared to dry and also when the air is pushed away with some winds. Agree air quality is not the best but also not worse either and better than I assume what it used to be.

Telephone and electric lines are above ground in most of US. I assume adding one more overhead line is easy but just make it more ugly and prone to outage due to storms or bad weather.
Looks like the artwork used on Google Fi website.
Re:Elon Musk Says SpaceX Will Send People to Mars by 2025 on Saturday January 30, 2016 @10:22AM (#11002108)
People before have given word that they plan to lead the expedition to space and have given timeline of seven years since this TED talk in 2007. So far no expedition to Moon has happened led by this speaker https://www.ted.com/talks/bill_stone_explores_the_earth_and_...

"Talk about space always seems to be hung on ambiguities of purpose and timing. I would like to close here by putting a stake in the sand at TED. I intend to lead that expedition. (Applause) It can be done in seven years with the right backing. Those who join me in making it happen will become a part of history and join other bold individuals from time past who, had they been here today, would have heartily approved." - Bill Stone (TED 2007)
