Patch Tuesday, I'd presume.

The local first approach is the primary reason I use Obsidian. I trust that I can _depend_ on Obsidian because of this.
On the other hand, this has also caused some headaches around using it on mobile.. but so far this has been a worthwhile tradeoff. Thanks for all the hard work!
Same! And that's why I'm now a DevOps engineer. In my role, DevOps primarily means automation and pipeline creation, working with teams to build and release their apps reliably and effectively. For me, it really scratches the itch of "setting things up".
I am beyond astounded. I was able to run a Docker image, utilize the fs inside of the container, and exit the container. Docker system commands work as expected (`docker ps` shows no containers, `docker ps -a` shows the exited container)
A few little things are weird (I can exec into a stopped container for example) but I was able to start another container and persist files.
Wild. This is unbelievable. Can anyone please explain to me why this isn't as wildly groundbreaking as this seems?
Really?

Because this person is suggesting that Tailscale is so good, people will rave about it whenever it's mentioned.
Pretty easy to understand.
PyPI identifies a package as critical and asks the maintainer to enable 2FA.. but allows them to simply delete the package to get around this requirement?

Are you suggesting that containerization is worthless?
I hid the font names until I reached the final two. Decided which I liked better and then disabled the toggle to see the names.
Long time Fira Code user, also ended up with JetBrains Mono. Runner up was IBM Plex Mono.
To be fair, ad blockers block more than just advertisements
Not sure of the best implementation, but couldn't it be behind a permissions dialog like the ones users have to accept for webcam access or notifications?
Last sentence before paywall reads:
"Pham has notified managers who report to him of his plan to leave, which comes as the 3,800-person Uber engineering group could be slashed by nearly 800 people in the coming weeks under the proposed job cuts."
I'm glad to hear that. I didn't have the best flight and was really happy to be home.. so it definitely stuck with me when that happened.
Also.. is it possible that mine was a different thing? The agent just held up a random webcam, it wasn't on a "legit" scanner.
You can only opt out if you're belligerent and willing to waste your time.
On a trip back from Spain, flying in to Dulles, the agent immediately took my picture, even though I specifically said I did not want to. The agent said I had no choice, even though I knew this was false.
I was then escorted to a supervisor who questioned me for ~20-30 minutes. He said that if I had nothing to hide, I shouldn't need to worry.
I argued for as long as I could, but I had a connecting flight and needed to leave.. so I just gave up.
I do believe there's a comma missing there. engine and dev tools are great (full stop) But! it's simply not as polished.
They just magically start appearing after a while

I'm on an internal tooling team @ PlayStation and man do I appreciate how much the company encourages cross-site and cross-team collaboration. Reading your comment made me cringe :/ so so sorry for you folks working at Apple.
