you should write more about your experience using LLM. Is this solely using LLM?
Re:BlenderGPT on Friday December 13, 2024 @10:35AM (#42409415)
Hi aarya, id like to contribute especially on how to make the animations in blenderGPT.
This is good news! I have been using both Sonnet 3.5 and Gemini. I believe that despite Gemini is not as good as Sonnet but Gemini Flash is way cheaper.
Re:Why WhatsApp Only Needs 50 Engineers for Its 900M Users on Sunday January 29, 2023 @04:00AM (#34566246)
Let's go back to the era where we need only a small amount of engineers to build stuffs.
Is this possible with SDR?
I am operating a fleet of vehicles that have multiple cameras on them.

I would like to contribute to an open source community that can have work with OSM, freely. Is there an option for this? Other than mapillary.

From my observation as a Malaysian Malay, I do not think that this change of government will stop the rise of Islamic fundamentalism. This Arabicization of Malaysia was started by Mr. Anwar Ibrahim who was imprisoned by Mr. Mahathir Mohamad and now became good friends and partners. Mr. Anwar is the de facto leader of the coalition that won the election.

Please do explain this. I would love to understand what is the modus operandi.
Re:Accurate Navigation Without GPS on Thursday February 15, 2018 @10:43PM (#16389693)
Using IMU as alternative to GPS is a great complement. In fact, we are using it too but the problem is that the system needs to be corrected often which was highlighted in the article too.
Re:Making a case for JavaScript, in-browser Mining on Thursday February 15, 2018 @05:32AM (#16383032)
I think the best use case is would be for non-profit that depend on donations like Wikipedia or perhaps video streaming websites like Youtube(consumed using Desktop).
Mind you, that $1.1B is money already spent. Google will need to spend more than that to continue R&D for Waymo.

This is amazing. I mean the service. Count me as your customer
Re:Why the world needs OpenStreetMap (2014) on Tuesday February 13, 2018 @02:54AM (#16365463)
Do you know if there is a 'method' to train executives to work on OSM data update? We would like to devote more resources for OSM especially in South East Asia but we are afraid that the work might not be scalable. Right now, most of our execs just google the information e.g. highway toll and update it.
Re:Why the world needs OpenStreetMap (2014) on Tuesday February 13, 2018 @02:52AM (#16365454)
Please do share the link to your post when you publish it. I really want to know pros and cons of OSM especially the gotchas if we want to fully support it.
Re:Car Hacker's Handbook (2016) on Tuesday February 13, 2018 @02:43AM (#16365420)
Yes, I agree but I would want to try it for fun, in a controlled environment, open space area.
Re:Why the world needs OpenStreetMap (2014) on Monday February 12, 2018 @08:29PM (#16364039)
I am supporting OSM and have dedicated a team of three executives to do updating for OSM.

Nevertheless, I have this burning question on how can we prevent people to abuse OSM by making false edits intentionally. This is an important issue as a lot of applications depend on OSM.

Re:Car Hacker's Handbook (2016) on Wednesday February 07, 2018 @10:05AM (#16324829)
Do you mean you can actually control the brake/steering/acceleration using CANBUS for these model?
Re:The Autonomous Driving Cookbook on Friday January 26, 2018 @08:58AM (#16239136)
This is amazing. Perhaps there should be like a 101 to explain basic step by step to do autonomous driving experiment for fun.

Thanks for this.
Re:A summary of what quantitative trading firms do on Sunday January 21, 2018 @06:26AM (#16197671)
Can you share what you have learnt so far and what is left? I am thinking to do the same thing too.
Re:A coding error led to $30M in ethereum being stolen (2017) on Thursday January 18, 2018 @09:58PM (#16183824)
Time for better Ethereum contract audit service? Does Open Zeppelin avoid these theft from happening?

Ask HN: What Is SEPA Equivalent in South East Asia?

I have been living in UK/Europe for quite some time and i love not to use cash and being able to pay things cheaply. What is the equivalent of SEPA for SEA? I know that there is such thing like FPX in Malaysia but if there is none, what are the biggest barriers to have something like SEPA?

This is good but I think there is some parallel between Bitcoin bubble and the unicorn building frenzy a few years back. Maybe they should make a video about that too!
Hi, is this applicable even for outside US?
Re:Start Your Own ISP on Tuesday January 16, 2018 @08:28PM (#16164695)
Great work Graham! I have been following your blog.

1. What is your advice for WISP that operate internationally to get upstream connection?

2. Can you also include about using LTE instead of just WiFi?

I have been wondering about this. Appreciate it if anyone provide some idea.

I mean it it quite easy nowadays to set up a network both wired and wireless to share among neighbours. I did that. But lastly, it needs to be connected to the internet/first mile. If I can negotiate enough numbers and do the fiber laying work myself, how can i get the internet connection at wholesale?

Hi Oliver, congratulations on this! I have a few questions:

1) Is there a plan to be further integrated with the car eg hiding the LIDAR from plain sight?

2) On OSS, can you direct me to any OSS projects that is related to control the car ie the part from computer to the car or connecting the CANBUS.

3) What are the technical considerations, specific to Autonomous car, since you’re using OSS projects for it?

I am learning PostGIS and PgRouting but there is not many tutorials/resources out there. Do you have any recommendations?
Re:Why Not Build Your Own Self-Driving Car? on Saturday December 23, 2017 @01:03PM (#15995357)
After so many startups keep reinventing the wheel, I am sure there must a template to make the wheel...

Is there any tutorials on the 80% of the initial effort?
