I believe this is reinforcing my belief of living in a bubble. Everyone I know is not so happy with having AI everywhere. Even on their android devices, just the other day we had a conversation with my girlfriend, she was showing me something on her tablet, and somehow gemini was opened and started to listen for instructions. We were both weirded out and started to jokingly scream "go away" "we don't need you". It didn't follow our instruction, it just replied back "you can close me by doing a tap here and then bla bla over there" ...needless to say I had to take the tech-savvy role of the couple and did a long-tap just to drop it on that big "X" that appears on the screen. No, I didn't know what I was doing. Yes, AI is not malware because we don't even own the devices we are buying anymore!
I found this work very interesting, specially the section about having a swarm (or 5 small teams.) and make the savings really matter.
Not sure how useful it may be to me, in my daily use. My tasks are way more encapsulated (e.g. edit the CSS of this website for me) than the "long horizon" that Edge-Bench aims to represent (e.g. working on a math theorem)

paywall, can't read it. help?
The greatest Science museums leverage interactivity. Art museums do up always 'up to some extent'. Kids should be able to paint anything (moustache?) over Mona Lisa.
A week later a fork appears and everyone is happy (except those investors, CEO, and management, but it never was about their happiness so...)
I believe you say that as a figure of speech, like it would be incredible to him to last. I may be misinterpreting you. Yet...
I believe it's not so surprising he lasts until the end of his term. I don't mean to remove any blame on Trump, but this case, and many others, have more to do with people (ICE agents) having 'power' to do this kind of injustice on the basis of their own biases (racism.)
I wasn't around when Adolf won its elections, and his first year. But I assume it was similar on many regards. "They thought they were free".
From the customers' perspective sounds ethical. The product was broken or extremely cheap quality, and not what it seemed to be originally when you decided to purchase... Is this black or white? ;p
I've been on Lemmy communities for a while, most are left-aligned (e.g. solarpunk). Think of Lemmy as a federated alternative to Reddit. Of course, there are "tankies" and "right-wing" people. Sometimes we end-up commenting on the same thread and it turns out bad... but regardless of it, I think you may enjoy the experience. My recommendation would be to jump into a Lemmy fork, just like PieFed.social :) from there you can follow communities (subreddits) in bulk, thanks to the concept of "topics".
PS. also check https://lemmyverse.net/communities
I'm getting "503 Service Temporarily Unavailable" from nginx...
Do you care to expand as to why you believe that's true?
Ah, then it was a non-criminal kidnapping in a federal courthouse by unidentified police officers. That's so NORMAL!
a tutorial would be nice... I feel stupid, tried 5x5 level 1, had to click the 1, and drag and release on top of the other number 1? didn't work. Other tries were the same for me :/
I can recommend the browser extension "modern for hacker news". Some features are premium (no subscription though) but only the defaults gives SO MUCH ux like font size, spacing between lines, text width.
Another great accesibility feat is the APIs for this web. I use upvoterate listing from quality news as front page.
To sum it up, opening the tab previews under Zen Browser made my experience feel like the coolest SPA, haha.
Posit offers cran snapshots on their public 'package manager' instance. It's a great resource indeed. Via the URL you can ask to use as a mirror and get the snapshot you desire ;)
You haven't discovered the lemmyverse yet? Head over to piefed.social and be happy again ;)
I'm not related to either project (piefed is federated with lemmy instances), but enjoy those feeds A LOT.
This. Precise text auto-completer. Without reasoning or cognitive processes whatsoever, just a very marketable illusion of it. Despite the lies, a great tool.
As any tool, it takes knowledge and responsibility. Just lile the unix chainsaw.
Another example of prime reasoning capabilities /s
Cody/ sourcegraph provide workspaces for teams/ enterprise. Probably for this and other reasons.
You can. There's DND mode and Favorite contacts. I use auto-DND scheduling option too.
On a plane?, do you self-host in your laptop? Or is the client having a full copy of everything, incl. images?
Makes sense. Keeping the conversation implieas that each new message carries the whole history, again. You need to create new chats from time to time, or throttle to a different model...
The title of this article should be 'how I take an unrelated tweet by an editor to spit my transphobia disguised as good faith concerns'
Sure. Just don't eat it too fast.
