And this can be taken a little further. That we humans are the only part of the universe, as far as we can tell at least, to be aware of all this. We are the part of the universe that allows it to look back at itself. If the universe is a body, we are the eyes of that body. Generally speaking of course. But I find this very empowering as a human being.
That video interview is so valuable, by presenting a real case, that was successful in beating cancer, with some novel approach. It's good for people to be aware of this. This is not about Eric Berg.
I am looking to collaborate with people that are passionate on either one of the following 2 things: Music and Biohacking.

I am a junior programmer and would like to implement a couple personal projects, would love to get advice on some architectural aspects. Is there a place on the internet where experienced software engineers are willing to share advice on design/architecture matters?
I'm not sure if HN is one of those places, but if it is, here is an example of the kind of questions I have:
How do I bootstrap a...

what better place to ask this question than HN?
If you could do it all over again, how would you it?
Imagine yourself in your early teen years, fully capable of self-teaching and already with a solid foundation of maths and sciences, yet you never really got into much computers technology (have not done any programming).
But now you want to get into it, you have the time and want to make it a...

I need help understanding where we are today in terms of technology able to "understand" natural text and extract some meaning from it.
Here is a case problem, just an example: I am researching a certain medical issue with which I'm dealing. Of course there are many websites that contain some information on that. Some are really good, and even contain some quality forums where people posted a...
I wish I was your friend, and on that email list.
Your idea of "math by mail" sounds great, I am interested to be included on your list, please contact me if it is acceptable. Email in profile, thank you in advance!
Believe it or not, but I lived without phone and TV for a few years now, it's great :) I'm giving Google AppEngine a serious try. Otherwise I'll have to look for a Java Web framework, the problem is that there are too many out there.
thanks for the advice!
yes, that is sound logic. The data structure model is very important to me. I would like to create a framework that I can reuse, where data is modeled semantically. I can't believe there isn't such framework out there already.
I'm thinking TopicMaps. Java might be the top choice if going this way. Thanks for the idea.
thanks so much for your welcome.
I have a question for you: what are the reasons that determined you to learn and develop for Android?
I'm asking because to me it's all about motivation. If I have very meaningful reasons for what I'm doing, then I enjoy doing that, and don't quit too soon.

I am attempting a come back as a programmer, after an unbelievable absence of 3 years. I need your help to refocus, and select the right technologies for what I'm going to need in the near future.
Here is my story: Java developer for about 10 years, up to exactly 3 years ago when I quit because of some major family issues that required my full time attention all this time. But there was...
