What's obviously fake about that?

I liked Google Play Music a lot but like any Google product it had a lot of issues. Still way better than YouTube Music.

I used the language of the link.

I had assumed that the states were blocking Pornhub but reading between the lines in the linked article it does imply it's not the states are not applying technical blocks.

According to this pornhub is blocked in 25 states including Texas.

By default cookies are sent for cross-origin requests. The SameSite cookie flag that lets sites control this was only shipped in Safari the year before this blog post was written so it would have been hard to depend on it yet.

GitHub launched a new status page Dec 2018[1]. It doesn't appear as if any history before Oct 2018 was ported over.

From what understand of MoltBot, I would expect it to ask for a lot of permissions. I guess maybe they are prompted closer to configuration time in the actual app.

Just to clarify for anyone reading. 404 does not have a paywall. They have an account wall. Some articles require you to be signed into a free account to read.
Generally, you don't have to open settings. The the built-in share menu from a file has quick share as an option and if someone shares something with you, you'd get a notification.
